received by the Board about, iow flying planes. Mr. Sinclair, Manager, stated that
recently large cargo planes have loaded~BSby; chicks a~ the airport for delivery
elsewhere and they~used the ssme runways that have been in use right/along. ~nese
planes are larger than~.~he airliners normally using the airport and ~r. Sin~clair
further stated tha~ they appear ~o be. lo~er than they actually are due ~o their size
and the noise of the motors.~ Mr.' Sinclair suggested that the complainsnts, sand~him
a written report on any aircraft engaged in low flying, giving him the number, of the'
aircraft and the vicinity in which they were flying a~d he will turn the information
over to 'the .proper authorities for action. The Board Vo~ed to send a copy of,' this ,
letter to. Mrs. ~homas Hayes, who is the complainant.
A complaln~ was receive rom .r. -o~n F. McGimty, 121 ~¥'averley Road, relativ~ to
the receflt carnival at~ Grogan's Field. Dr. McGinty thought it was a gross 'injustice
~o the people of' this comges'ted,area: to~ have the constant noise, and commotion for a-
,week's time. He objected' to the carnival because,it~was~difficult for Children to get
to: ~2~'e~ before ten or eleven o' clock; the constant ex~reneoas, noises were particularly
annoying to those people who are not well; and'it denies the small children the use
,of Grogen,s~ Playground for a week." Mr. Finneran'made a motion ~o ,~able' this letter
and:keep it in mind next-'year, and the~BOard agreed. . .

POLLING HOURS:
.Mr. Lyons requested ,that tbs..polls be open from 10:00 A.M. to S:O0 P.M. for the
pri~ election :in September as he felt that there would be a large vote this year
and the Board voted unanimously on these hours.
? A postponed hearing was, held on the petition of Giuseppe Messina and the Atlantic
Refining Company for the removal of a tree on Sutton Street. Sin~e the license for
the gasoline station was approved, the Board voted 'unanimously to request the
Tree Werden to remove this tree.
Chief McKee submitted a report for the month of June, 19~2 show~g the complaints
secured and presented before the Court for action and also listing the Reserve
Officers who worked for the month of June.
At the close of the meeting, the Board again discussed the letter from the State
Board of Health relative to dump locations end decided that ~M. Catty should obtain
~igures as to the expense involved in preparation of these locations for dump sites
and the Board plans to hold a public meeting at a later date before making a decision
as to a definite location. These. figures should be available at that time.
