This light was turned on September 25, 1952. ' PEI~ESSION granted by unanimous vote to excavate to install gas service at 206 Pleasant Street, (37 feet in street). Mr. Carry will be notified of this permission. RETOLVL~RPE~ZT APPLICATION: The Board voted unanimously ~o grant a license to carry a revolver to Carmine Calzett4, 470 Johnson Streem, North Andover. This application has been anproved by Chief McKee. - TREER~OVALREQUEST: Mr.-~..L. Hooper, 26 Andover Street, has requested that a horse chestnut tree. at thi~ address be cut down. ~he tree is located on the road line and is nearly dead. Mr. Finneran made a motion that this request be given to the tree warden for his investigation and a hearing held if necessary. Onthe contract dated June 4, 1952, the originaldate tion was ~uly 5, 1952 and there has been no extensions on this second con~rac$~ There was an extention on the'firs~untract ~o July 1, 1952. . Mr. Thomson said there is a drainage complaint on the southerly side and also a question of a~.fence to be erected. Veterans Agent that he has no record of veterans who would be available for this work. Si~ilarly we have been advised by Mr. John J. McEenna, Manager cf the Division of Employment Security that there are no veterans listed who are qualified to fil~ this position. ' This is in compliance with the request of the Director of Civil Service before he will approve the appointments of fournon-vsterans whose appointments expired on September 22, 1952. Thelistwill now be sent in for approval since there are noavailable veterans.
