The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date with all members present
Selectmen Fred P. Oakes, Raymond Brcadhead and Chairman Finneren presiding:
Notice was given the Board that the Asian Flu Booster Shots; would be administered to all Town
personnel on Wednesday, February 20,' 1963, between 1 and 2:00 p.m. in the Board of~el~.th
INVITA~T0~:
The Lawrence Postal Employees' Ymvitatiom to the Board was received to attend Mass or church
services on their annual Spiritual .Sunday Observance, March 3, 1963. The selectmen will make
· every effort to attend.
CIVIL DEFENSE DIRECTC~:
Dewey'Dyer as again- unable to attend a meeting with the Selectman re his '~olding over" of an-
expended Civil Defense appropriations from previous years. Re informed the Selectman, however.
that he would be able to meet with them on Monday, February 25, 1963.
FLUORIDATION DATE:
A request from Oregon for fluoridation data was referred to the Board of Health for processing
DEPARTM~qT OF CORPOP~TION AND TAXES:
A special address for mailing correspondence was given by the above-named department due to
heav]r accumulation of mail now being sent to that department. ~ All mail should be addressed to
"Director of Accounts, P.O. Box .2017, Boston 6, Mass.
MASSAG~USETTS ELECTRIC COMPANT:
Notice of street light installations were received by the Board on Osgood Street near the
Butcher Boy Market, Wood Lane, Marbleridge Road, and Forest Street.
APPOIN~NT:
Miss Ida K. Farrell, TI.Main Street, was appointed a spare worker by the Selectm~.
ADJUDICATION HEARINGS:
The following streets were set up for hearings for future acceptance as Town Ways;-on March 4,
1963:
1. Walnut Avenue --- 7:30 p.m.
" 2. Beacon Hill Blvd. --- 7:35 p.m
3. Bay State Road --- 7=40 p.m.
The .Blanning Boar~, Board of Public Works, Highway Sarveyor and all abutters will be notified.
The general public will be notified by means of notice on Town Building Bulletin board.
MASS. DEPT. OF PUBLT¢ WORES:~ re ROTARY
Residents' were informed in the vicinity of the "Den" on Turnpike. Street andWaverl'~y Road 'that

the intersection of Great Pond Road and Academy Road to the intersection of Stevens Street and

REQUESTS: Street sign end street light.
A request for a street sign for Adams Avenue was received from Mr. Frederick Eahan and a
light for Ingalls Road was requested from Mr. James Bunn. The IStter was referred to Massachu-
setts Electric Company fo~ a survey.
