FLUORiDATIGI:
Another request for fluoridation data was received from Foley, Alabama, which was referred t~-~
the Board cf Health.
Essex County Retirement Board:
The above-named Board announced the retirement cf the head librarian at Stevens Memorial Library
to become effactive on JuneL 1, 1963.
A notice was also received that the 1963 appropriations were due for payment to the Bcard~in the
amount of $53,702.32. This amount was included in the warrant for payment.
MASSACHUSETTS ELECTRIC C~MPANY:
Notice of installation of street lighting on Route 114 at Hillside Rd. and at High 'and
cott Streets were received. Also a recommendation for street light on Main Street near
Caronfs Funeral Home and 26 Tolland Road.

in regard to solidifying accounts into one account only.

The regular meeting cf the Board of Selectmen was held on this date with all members present ,
Selectmen Fred P. Oakes, Raymond Mroadhead and 'Chairman Fiuneran presiding.
Eearimgs: Adjudication of streets:
The.Hoard adjudicated Walnut Avenue acceptable as a street and tabled hearings on .tw~' other
streets until next week, March 11, 1963. Hearings were scheduled for Bay State Rc~d and
hill Blvd but were postponed because Planning Board hearings were to be held on the same night
and the Board cf Selectme~ reserved decision until hearing from the Planning Board. Several
residents appeared regarding the adjudication of the latter streets and Joseph Giard asked
questions regarding plans of the School Building Committee ,on the same two streets which border
his land. The Board will request the Committee to submits/copy of plan and layout ~f the Upper
Elementary School.

The name of Mrs..Helen 7.. Skinner, 106 Waverley Road was drawn by Selectman Fred P. Oakes to
serve on the April sitting of the Saperior Civil Court Session. She is retired.
MASS. DEPT.OF PUBLICWORES: Proposed new "roads cr rotary"
Mr. MacWilliams, in a reply to a letter requesting information, stated that there was no plan
for a rotary in the Waverley Road, Turnpike area which had been reported by residents in that
area. In connection with the proposed road from Raytheon, no plans have been finalized as of
this date and no preliminary designs have included any disturbance of resid ~nces along the
easterly side of 'Waverley Road.~-~Information regarding the state of development of preliminary
plans (having no final status) can be obtained by contacting Mr. Carlisle N. Levine, Plans ~and
Estimates Eagineer, Room 640, 100 Nashua Street, BostOn, Nass.
BC~D OF. APPEAIS:
A notice of hearing to be held regarding variances were received from the Board of Appeals.
T0~N REPORT:
The revised style 1963 Annual Reports arrived and Selectman Fred P. Oakes, c°mm~ded the
committee in charge of the new reports for an "excellent Job," done. It is a most interesting
and readable report. ~he committee in charge was John J. Lyons, Jchn A. Farrell and Er. Robinsc
member of the Nigh School teaching staff..
