Selectmen Fred P. Oakes, Raymond Broadhead with Chairman Finneran, presiding.
JUR0~S: Two for Superior (Civil) Court - 2 Sessions,May 6, 1963.
Clifton D. Stone, 145 Beaconhill Blvd, a Thompson Restaurant employee, was drawn for the first
sitting in the above-named court;
for the second sitting.
Albert E. Elufts, 70 Marblehead Street, a file clerk, was drawn
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORES: DUFFY
A cmmmmication from the Board of Public Works concerning info~matiou regarding tie-ins to sanit-
ary sewer services installed on Adams Avenue last September was referred to the Board of Health.
INEW ~NGLAND PC~ER CONPANY:
lectman Broadhead requested a letter be sent to said company to inform them of the fact that
brush left to dry on their property at the transfer station on~teasant Street near Stevens Pond
created a~ annual fire hazard. The utility company was to be instructed to have all cuttings in
the future removed.
HOUSING AUTHORITY AND SEALER OF WEIGHTS & MEASURES:
Selectman-Broadhead also brought up the failure of the above-named co~ttees to submit their
annual reports .for the Town Report after repeated requests to do so. A letter will. be sent to
once'.again asking their cooperation so the Town RePort ?ill be co~pleted.
LAWRENCE GAS CONPANY:
Six permits to excavate were granted to the gas company: Salem, and Appleton Sts.,293 Waverley Rd.
Greene Street, Beaconhill Blvd.,Mass. Ave~m$, corner of Beechwond Avenue, Great Oak Street~

A questionaire from the above was referred to James Maker, Town' Treasurer.

The Board issued a call for applications to the position of Civil Defense Director with appltca-
ous closing on Monday, April 15, 1963.
APPLICATIC~ TO STORE GASOLINE:
Willfam Arsenault,~ proprie~pr of Bill.s Auto Garage, applied for a permit to store additional
gasoline underground. A hearing w~s~set up for April 22,. 1963, at 7:30 p.m. The matter was
referred to ~own Clerk for processing.

Notice received stating that Charles E. Cyr, Engineer, was insured to ~erform general contracting

Notice was received on changes regarding ~affic control changes and markings on roads.
-.Notice was received of the annual Chamber of ~ommerce celebration to be held on April 16 and 17.

A letter' from Charles Foster, Building Ym.spector, approved by Town Counsel, stated that Ar~kelian
had been repairing cars in his garage prior to the current zoning by-law of 1956 and therefore
was eligible ~for a non-conforming use of his property. The Sapienzas expressed great dissatis-
