HEARINGS:
7:30 p.m. Petitions for Joint pole locations on Fernwood Street and for a pole and wide location
on the easterly side of Waverley'Road. A petition was also granted for e~isting pole location on
Gilber~ Street.
HEARING SET:
A hearing was set for ?:30 p.m. on April 29, 1963, for an application to store an additional
2,000 gallons of gasoline on the property of Robinson Express Company, 41 Second Street.
C~VIL DEFUSE DIRECTOR:
Roland C. Korb, 14 Walmnt Avenue, was named by the Board of Selectmen to become town Civil Defem
Director upon the resignation of Dewey Dyer, July 1, 1963. Mr. Korb: a digital

Recommendations for improved street lighting at 35? Dale Street and the corner of Massachusetts
Avenue and Adams Avenue were accepted by the Board~the light~ company to be notified 'accordingly.

A letter from builder, John ~ields, revealed that people who '~med lots bordering Gtc
PlayEround were annoyed by the noise of the children, particularly Mr. and Mrs.' Kenneth 'H~lbert,
64 Patriot Street, who salad because of the basketball court being located next to their back yard

The Board received invitations for the annual concert and'dance sponsored by the North Andover
Police Relief Association.
PAINTING BIDS:
Painting Bids for the to~ '~uilding closed at 8:00 p.m. and the'awarding was tabled until proper
investigation of credentials could be made.

Information was received from Mr. Robert M~ Ne ~trne of New England Power~Co. that ~rush piled
hazardsthe company's, right of way near Steven ~s pond would' be removed to prevent any future fire
S~O~ BU!'LDING CC~TTEE:
The Board will meet with the School Building ~ Committee on Tuesday, May
