AIRPORT TRAFFIC CONGESTION:
Mr. MacCollum, of Colgate Drive, appeared before the Board.with a two-page letter of protest
about traffic flying conditions at the Lawrence Airport which he read to the Board. The
referred the matter to their liason officer, Dr. Zimney, and requested a letter be wnittento
the Lawrence Airport Commission to arrange a meeting with them and the Selectmen for a discussion
and probable solution to the matter.
ACCESS ROAD TO SCHOOL DONATION:
Mr. George N. Giragosian, 586 Massachusetts Avemue handed over a deed for a parcel of his land
which would provide an easy access tothe new elementa~ school on Main Street. He expressed his
appreciation of the town that "had been very good to him'~ .~ Chairman Rock expressed the opinion
that this gesture would make things safer and easier for the school and the Selectmen ~Jotned him
in expressing their thanks and appreciation on behalf of th~/town.
The meeting adjourned at 8:50p.m.

The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen Was held on this date with Selectman Raymond Broad-
head and Chairman Finneran presont, Selectman Fred ~. Oaken was on vacation.
Tree Removal Rearings:
Petitions to remove two trees on 19 Hilton Street and 26 Tolland Road were approved by the Board.

Streets were granted by the presiding Board.

The petition presented before the Board to move a house from 61 Inglewood Street to lots
~9 and 60 was granted by the Board. The lots were on Glenwoed Street.
STORAGE OF GASOLTNE: NEADG~BROOK LDY. '
received for a permit to store gasoline (10,000) gals #6 oil u~l~gr~;on Sutton
Street. The application was referred to the Fire Chief for .his recommendation. ~
· A request for the'repairing of a wooden street sign on D onglas Street was granted and referred to
Mr. Pinend, 57 Maple Street.

Notice was received by the Board of inst~atinn of lights on Elmcrest Rd~. and at the corner of
Woodbridge Road and Greene Street.
JURY T,T.~T:
The Jury r.ist composing of 109 citizens of the Town of North Aedover for the period from July, 196~
to July, 1964 was approved by the Board end se~t to Philip Hennessey, Clerk of Courts.
C.~airman Finneran stated that he would like to have a meeting with the Roard, Fire and Police
Chiofs~.~ Town Counsel and the Board of Health to possibly revise the town by-law relative to the
ontdoor~burning of trash in barrels. A meeting will be set up.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.

CITIL DEFEISE DIRECTOR: ROIAND KORB
Roland Eorb appeared before the Board to advise them of his efforts relative topurchasing ~
surplus equipment for the town. Bis report was contained in a letter which he brought with
him. He stated also that he had received the letter from the Selectmen requesting an invent
report for equipment purchased by Dewey Dyer, Civil Defense Director, whO resigned as of July 1,
1963. Ne stated that Mr. Dye~ had not as yet been in touch with him to advise him of the Defense
Program or about the present equipment of the department.
