The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date with Selectmen Raymond
~roadhead~ F~ed P, Oakes with Chairman William A. Finneran. presiding.
MASSACHUSETTS EL~TR~C COMPANY:
Two petitions for pole and wire locations were received and a hearing for both set the date
of October 7~ 71963 at 7:30 p.m.
STATE DEPt. ~ PUBLIC WORKS:
Estimate of work done on contract, Chapter 90, Salem Street, was received by the ~oard.
SECEE~ARY ~ STATE:
A certificate of incorporation for Eeith Munson, Eradferd Street, was referred to the Chief
of Police, Joseph W. ~awlcr, for ~nvestigation and reference.

Report received of .their 23rd meeting.

Report on executiwe board nominations and town report awards.
BILL's A~O;
Selectmen Fred Oakes made a motion to return voucher of above-named retained for investiga~ion
to Town Counsel who.will meet with Mr. Arsenault to discuss bill as submitted and for Mr. Arson-
ault to return corrected voucher for Selectmen 's approval.
STREET LYGR~G: '
Selectmen Oakes reported that a dangerous condition existed at the corner of'Middlesex Avenue and
J~assachusetts Avenue because of complete lack 'of lighting there at night.' The same condition
exists at the co~ner of 'Perry ~Street~ and. Mass. Ave. The electric light company will be con-
tacted for correction of~ .the situation'.
A letter received from th~labo%e-n~med committee re~ueeted suggestions and opinions of the
~oard relative to amendin~g 'the~B~-Laws of the Town.

Petition was heard for a Joint pole location on Marbleridge Road for New-England Tel. & Tel. 0o.
and Mass. Electric Company; the vote was unanimous in the affirmative.
MASSACHUSETTS ELECTP~C CO.:
Notice of installation of street lights on Pleasant Street and Hillside Road were received. Also,
a s~rvey for street lighting at the intersection of Dale Street and Glsucrest Drive was accepted
by the Board. Also requested was improved street lighting inthe vicinity of 415 Massachusetts Ave
LAWR~CEGAS CO.:
Four petitions to excavate in street for gas services wore received for Pembroke and Russell
and P~tnam and Buckingham Roads. The Board granted same.
CERTIFICATE OF~NCORPOSA~TO~:
Chief Lawlor reported favorably on petition of Secretary of State's office for Eeith Munson,
73~radstreet Road.
REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT:
Notice was received by the Boar~ of sa~d committee's vote re acquisition of land for school and
notice of their 24th meeting was received also.
~ML~TER ()90 Salem Street:
Certification was received for pa2ment to Raymond E. Larochelle. contractor for the Salem St.
tar 90 reconstruction from the Mass. Dept. of Public Works. Payment was in the amount
in addition to the $5,177.25 certified for payment last week. The contractor has completed work
through September 18th in the value of $12~677.50. The progress report received indicated that
28% of the time haselapsed but only 18% of' the work had been completed. Additional workmen were
advised to be assigne~ to assure completion of the Job by the set deadline of December 5, 1963.
