A hea~ing was set for December 16, 1963, at 7:30 p.m. for petition of N.E.Tel. & Tel.~Co.
on Salem Street.
HEARING:
Petition for Joint pole location on Waverley Rd. approved by the Board.
LAWR~.~CE GAS CO:
Petitions to excavate were approved for the following streets: Glenwaod, 168 and 220 Middlesex,
64 Harold Streets, 12 Holbrook and 12 Pembrook Road.
BO0STE~ CLUB C~SNDATION FOR FRED OAKES:
Fred Oakes, Selectman, w~s highly commended in a letter from the Booster Club for his fine speech
given at their league banquet.
LUMBERMAN MUTUAL CASUALTY CO.:
A routine check of the boilers and water systems of the ~schools and town buildings were ~mede and.
recommendations given in report to the Selectmen. The ~departments involved were n~61fied.
HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT :
Notice received of the 31st~ and 32n~ meetings.
~ INVITATIONS:
Invitations were received to participate in events of the Lowell Merrimack River Girl Scout
and Nethuen Poet, American Lsgion. Every effort will be made to attend.

CARTE CIRCLE PETITION:
A petition, signed by residents of Carry Circle, was received by the Board and referred to
the Highway Dept. for processing in an article for Town Warrant. The petitioners asked
carry Circle be resurfaced permanently.

date, January 13, 1963, 9:00 p.m.

The Selectmen voted to send a letter of appreciation ~orthe North Andover Board of Trade anti'all
~ho contributed to the parade held on November 30, 1963.
EENNEDY N~ORZAL ~SS:
The Board highly commended the townspeople, clergy of the town churches and the to~m employees
for the fine shoeing of respect for our late, beloved President, John Fitzgeral Kennedy, who was
sns~rag!dally mowed down by an assassin in Dallas, Te~ms on November 22, 1963; :~11 business
stopped on Monday to mourn and pay fitting tribute to him. The town building flag will fly at
haLf-mast for a month.
G~ISTMAS CARCL~C~T~riTY SING: (II)
The second Community Christmas Carol sing will take place on December 20, 1963 with scouts and
groups of the town participating.
