Electric Company for Gleancrest Drive. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. SnOw Removal Emergency declared by Ira Carty, Highway Supt., March 10, 1964 at 5:00 P.M. 1964. The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date ~ith Selectmen Fred P.Oakes Raymond Broadheed and Chairman William A. Finneran present. COMPLAINT: A letter, unsigned, was received by the Board regarding dangerous condition of Hillside Road which was referred to the Highway Dept. WOODLANE: A copy of ~ letter sent. to Ira Catty regarding condition of Woodlane Road was received. ANIMAL INSPECTOR: A letter of application for re-appointment as animal inspector was received from Dr. Edward C. Bulger. TC~N COUNSEL: A letter o~ clarification re wording of articles for Town Meeting was received from Arnold Sal- isbury in response to Chief Dew's claim his articles should not have been re-worded. Mr. Salis- bury stated that the Wording was changed to benefit sponsor of article and to have it properly presented as such. NE~ E~AND TEL. & TELl CO.: A petitioh for joint location bf existing poles on Lyman Road was approved, hearing unnecessary. p~tition for Joint or identical pole locations was set for a hearing on March 23, 1964, 7:30 p.m. LAWR~NCEGAS CO.: . A petition to excavate on Salem~Street, corner of Andover Street was approved. MAS~. ELECTRIC CO.: Notic~ wos received of street light installations on Johnson, Andover, Turnpike Street and at th corner of Marblehead and Union Streets and corner of Bever!yand Union. TRAFFIC LANE REQUEST: A letter wes received per request to have traffic lines on Turnpike Street (1370). STATE: STATE CENSUS: Notice was received that a state census would be taken dUring the y~ar 196~ starting January. i, 1965. Town Clerk was so notified. A letter from the Attorney General contained information on land-taking procedUres which .was referred to Town Counsel. STREET LIGHT: Arthur Hodges, 960 Campbell Road, requested s street light be installed on Campbell Road. IASSr.~TANT TG~N CO~NSELAPPOIN~T: ~Attorney Roland H. Sherman, 766 Great Pond Road, was appointed Assistant Town Counsel in the event of a coUrt suit from Durso. CHAPTER ()90MEETING: SAL~ STREET REC~STRUCT~ON: At 8:00 p.m. a meeting was hel~ in Bredstreet School for the abutters of S~lem Street to with the County Engineers and Selectmen any problems or questions they had prior to the of Salem Street. County Engineer, Earl Page and Ass't County Engineer, James Carlim with Mr. Lespasio, contractor, were present with the Selectmen to answere all questions. Prior to the meeting, Salem Street residents had been inVited to look at the proposed plans in the Se2~ctmen office and most of them did so for three weeks preceding the meeting. The meeting lasted until 10 p.m. TC~NNEETING: Selectman Raymond Broadhead Urged all townspeople to attend To~n to be held on Saturday March 14, 19~4 to vote onall important legislation of the town.
