Finnaran, present. JURORS: Two Jurors were drawn for the first and second session of Superior Civil Court to be held on July 6, 1964: First Session - Joseph Buturlia, 10 Dewey Street; Second Session - F. George Labelle, 69 Milk Street. MARBL~AD STREET ~OSSIEG: A letter was received from Atty. Charles ~ombly re reimbursement to the Town for expenses of the Marblehead Street relocation. SPECL~L POLICE OFFICERS: Auxiliary police officer, Domenick Eonanno,and others,were highly commended for their volunteer services during the w~nter especially in the matter of church traffic. They will suspend services for the rammer. 'h00" CLUB: The Board met with Chiefs Lawlor and ,~aw to discuss the matter of membership in the 'hO0" Club which provides for benefits to the widows of police and fireman who lose their lives while on duty. The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date with Selectmen Fred P. Cakes, Ra2mond B~oadheed and Chairman William A. Finneran present. FUEL BIDS: Sealed bids were submitted by J. Leone Co. and Cyr Oil Company and opened at the .designated at 8:00 p.m. by Chairman Finneran. J. Leone Company's bid was .0955 net per gallon bid was .0939 net per gallon. Cyr Oil Company, being the lowest net.price, · ~was awarded the ,-ontract. POLE LOCATIONS: Pole location petitions on Turnpike Street and Johnson Street were approved by the Board. Three other pole ,locations on Turnpike, Lacey and Salem Streets were set up for hearings .on July 17, 1964 at 4:00, 4:05 and 4:10 p.m. LAWRENCE GAS CO.: TWo petitions to excavate for gas services were tabled on request of Ira Carty who stated that.-the Gas Company were not properly replacing streets in the condition they were before exc~'vetion. The Board voted to have a meeting with Mr. ~oebel of the Gas Company and Ira ~ at their meeting on July l?th at 4:00 p.m. ~ASS. ELECTRIC CO.: Notice was received of street light installations on Sutton~Hil~Rd. and Appleton Street. Recommendations for street lighting on Holt Road and Andovor Street were approved by the Board; A :recommended plan submitted by the Mass. Electric' Co. for street lighting changes on Sutton Street at Marblehead Street. and the crossing of Route 495 wans tabled for further ..: study. S~OOL DEPT. RE OBSOLETE EQUIPMENT: A letter received from the school department stated that they had a number of .obsolete items and requested advice from the Board as to method of disposal. Letters were to be sent out to departments in the tewn with s list asking if ~ey could use any items.. A request ~rcm John E. Hanson, Jr. to be appointed to the position-of Town Game Warden was referred to Town Counsel for advice as to the responsibility of the Board re the appointment. ~ · REQUEST: TRAILER A request was received from Hubert L. Smith from South Harwtch for permission to store a trailer on a lot owned by him off Boston Street. The request was referred to the ~uilding Inspector. REGIONAL S~00L AND REGIONAL PLANNING BOARD: Notice wasreceived cf the %6th and 57th meeting cf the RSDC and of t~e Merrimack Plan- ning District meeting. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m./~- ....
