Notice of the 67th:~meeting of the Regional School Committee was received together
with copies of their preliminary budget and final budget of the regional School. ~
PLANNING BGARD:
A letter was received re initial steps the North ~ndover Planning Board took toward
preparing a Master plan for the community when they requested Federal aid for Urban
Planning Assistance. :' Mr. Barmen, Chairman, suggested the town make use of 'the
of the Central Merrimack Planning ~is~t~ict Commission in planning town buildings such
as a new police and fire department. He advised that the Commission's engineer,
Richard Young, would attend next weekls meeting for discussion of same with the Board.
BOUNDARY LINE:
A :letter ~db.e. oS.e.nt, t~. Jacob. Berk.over re the re-setting of the boumdary line between
Lawrence m rrm Amaover, vine o~ one having been erased by Route 495 construction,
was requested by the Board. .~i
INVITATION: ~
The N.A. Booster Club extended an invitation to the Selectmen to gttend the annual
N. A. Booster Club football banquet on December 12, 1964. Mr. Broedhead was able to
attend.
ANNUAL CAROL SING:
After conflicting dates of groups involved in the Christmas Community Sing, a date
was finally decided on that would be agreeable to all, December 22, in the North
Andover High School auditorium.

?he Board of Selectmen held their regular ~eeting on this date with-all members
present, Selectmen Raymond Broadh&ad, F~ed P. Oakes end Chairmen William A. Finneren.
A juror was drawn for Seperior Court, at Salem, for January 4, 1965 sitting.; Augus-
tine Langtry, 113 High Street, retired.
S~EET LIGHTS:
The Board, upon request, advised Secretary to electric company for surveys to made
for street lights on pole 50-§4, Salem Street, vicinity of residence of Mr. Morton.
Also for Cleon Richard, 2051 Salem Street, last pole on Salem Street.'
_D. G~ANDLER, SChooL OG~ITTEE:
A letter from Mr. Chandler, Secretary to the School Committee, requested, a Joint
meeting of' same with the Board to appoint an interim member to fill vacancy caused
by untimely death of Dr. Thomson. The Board set up the next Mcnday~ December 21,
at 8:00 p.m. for the meeting.
JOINT POLE L00ATIO~:
A petition for a pole location on Prospect Street was set up for a hearing on Dec.
28, 1964 at 7:30 p.m.
BEVERLY S~0OL FOR THE DE&Fi
The N. Berger Co. of Lawrence notified the Board that they had sent a gift to be used
by the above-named school's pleasure in the name of the town of North Andover. The
Board voted to send a letter of thanks for their=gemam~us and thoughtful contribution.
STATE AID:
A letter fromthe State D.P.W. re State Aid was referred to the Highway Dept.
NATIC~AL SAFETY COUNCIL:
A letter received from the above-named was referred to the Chief of Police.
M~MORAND~ C~ UNDERSTANDING:
The above was returned to the Board from the D.P.W.
HIGHWAY DEPT.:
A letter stating the cost of the snow-removal emergencies was received and was
ed to be sent to the Director of Accounts.
T0~N COUNSEL:
The Board voted to write Mr. Salisbury re Article on Regional Planning Board services
and T~wn Survey project.
