CO~DATIC~:
Selectmen Fred P. Oakes wished to go on record for his commendation ofthe fine'sports-
manship and aBility of the North Andover High School basketball team displayed in a
game Mr. Oakes attended. The coach, Mr, Llcare, was highly praisedforhis work.in
shaping such a fine team, The team are at the top of'the High School basketball teams
tn Greater Lawrence.
Mr. Dante1 Griffin appeared before the Boerd and discussed the transportation problems
~"incur~ed by the cancellation of passenger service by the B.. ~ M. Railroad.
WARNER MEETING: Rreak-Dowa Lanes;
At the suggestion of Chairman Finneram,whose business prevented him from attending a
Wednesday date set up by Atty. Petteruto, it was voted to have Rep. Petteruto set up
another appointment for the near future with Warner in Boston. Mr. Petteruto·will'be
requested to notify the Secretary of the. Board,:in time to'properly notify other re-
presentatives.

The Board voted to ask Town Counsel if it would be all ~right to. destroy old records
accumulated over many years that were taking up much space that was need ed for current
records. When contacted, By telephone, he stated that records over ten years o~ld, conld
.:he properly destroyed. -

TRANSPORTATIC~RE~C~VES:
A copy of Resolves discussed at a M.B.T.A. meeting on February 4, 196~ were adopted .
and ~oted unanimously to be sent.t~ Mayor Buckley. TheResolves contain a 120 day
extension of commuter service to surrounding towns bythe B. & H. Railroad.
ANIMAL INSPECTOR:
A notice received from the Dept. of Agriculture reques~ng annual appointment of the
town animal inspector was tabled .until after the March 13th Town Meeting.
