"GREATER LAWP~NCE BANKS: '- :Letters weredirected by the Board to be sent out to all banks to advise future mort~ · ~- gaees that~the ~town cennot accept responsibility of poor conditions ~ new streets ~' as a/result of negligence on the part of contractors and ,builders of the homes on said ·: streets. Contractors are supposed to leave said streets in proper condition with · proper surface drains so that the street can be accepte~ end maintained by the Town. The Selectmen 'stated that if ~the Legislature would adjust their present rules and regulations permitting the Board ~f Selectmen the authority to enforce the contractors~ to meet their obligations regarding these streets, then the town could accept the re- sponsibility. Letters will be sent to representatives and Senator Rurak regarding this situation end ask them for any helpful suggestions to remedy this situation. ~ARKE~ STREET: Chief Lawlor an~ Nighway_ Surveyor will be requested to view proposed plen of the state and submit their ~,ecommendations to the Board. at :: : Clerk
