CIVIL SERVICE:
Two notices received of changes in Civil Service procedure: 1. Chapter 397, ~Acts of
1965, effective August 1, 1965, prohibits discrimination in employment because.of sex.
Ail eligible male and female applicants will 'be intersorted and. ce~ified accordingly, to
percentage and in accordance with the Civil Service Law and R~les, recognizing prefer-
ence to disabled veterans, veterans, widows and widowed mothers, wherever applicable.
2. Rule 7, P.2 - Persons receiving a provisional appointment to anypoS'ition in the
glassified Official Service shall file an application in Sufficient time to be notified
for the ~nex-~ open competitive examination held for this position~ after the effective
date of such provisional appointment. Filing of' the application and notification:to L
appear for the examination does not imply that the applicant meets the'eligib!!ity~re-
quirements. . ·
