DAMAGED B0~NDARY MARKER: A letter from DPW advised that the boundary marker corner Waverley Rd and Route 114 damaged by State vehicles would be repaired. SAL-~ & APPLETG~ STREETS: Report received that the traffic, islands on the above-naned streets were painted, directional sign, Stop Sign and flashing yellow and red lights installed. ~NSURANCE: Prudential Insurance Company notified Board the premium this year had been reduced to $1.64 per $1,000. COMPIAINT: Complaint received of abnoxious smoke resulting from fires burning at the dump. Chief Lawlor will be notified to enforce sign to be erected forbidding fires at the dump. ARTICLES: ~e Board discussed pertinent matters that should be spansored by them at Tow~ Meeting; New Police and Central Fire Station, Chadwick Street Playground, additianal Accounting Machine. BROOKS SCHOOL: Letter from Dr. A~hburu contained words of appreciation for co~andatian received, on successful football season. A proposal for suz~ar program from Brooks School received from Mr. Spades. A :letter was voted to thank Mr. Spades but to advise that the proposal could not. be accepted ~ Just ~for certain grades. STREET LIGHTS: Notice received of installattan of street lights an S,,11ivam St. and Autran Avanue~ PErT.TraPS BROOKS HOUSE: A letter from Arnold Salisbury re p~oposed fence to be ~ected bordering.a tc~n way. Mr. Salisbury advised that the proposed fence, if 'and when canst~,acted, will not?; impede 'public travel slang Osgood St, as it now exists, and :that the appearance way, in the vicinity of the Phillips M~n~e, will not significantly erection. ~/alls and fences presantly stand, and far many years have stood, ulang'~ sides of Osgood Street in this area. The Board will also notify Mr. Hunter of the re~ue~st his presence, also. PLAYGROUND LAND: 'The Board voted to send another letter re the acquisition of Airport-owned land for the Chadwick St. Playground. INVITATI~: Selectman Fred P. Oakes will attend the dedication of the G.L. Reg. Vocatiansl Tech. High School on Nov. 24, at 8:00 p.m. Chairman Broadhead and Fred 0akes 'will also attend the Welco~Home reception for Cong. Bates a.tLM~rrimack College, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m.
