ELLIOT: The Board voted to have a plpque presented ~o Mrs. Elliot on Sunday, Nov.27th to note the town's appreciation and thanks for her 25 years of service for the children of the AD HOC COmmITTEE: ' Chairman Oakes stated that the chairmen of the Ad Hoc Committee had given him an oral report on the telephone after they had met with the Advisory Board. A written report is forthcoming. ' In essence, they were in favor of a new police station to be erected on the site of the old Johnson High School on Main and Osgond Streets. They also recommend- ed that' the main fire statien' he eventually erected on the same site sometime in the future, with one fire enginD remaining in the present fire station. The rest of the fire ~tation could be used for expansion'of much-needed effices for the Town Building. They also recommended that Butler Buildings erected next to the Town 6arages to house town vehicles which have to now remain' outside. U N DAY COmmITTEE: Rev. Neal Fisher requested that the Selectmen 's Secre:ary send out 23 individual "Thenk- you" letters to all who had helped him make the observance a success. BEST WISHES FOR THANKSGIVING: The Board of Selectmen extended their best wishes ~o the townspeople of North Andover fora bountiful and happy Thanksgiving holiday.
