PLAQUE PRES~NTATI~: Plaques and thank y~u 'speeches by the Board and George Wilson, Welfare Director, were given to former caretakers of the Town Zafirmary, Mr. ~and Mrs. Orin Foster and Mrs.' Ball for their years cf service to the town. GAS EXCAVATIC~: Petition was approved to excavate at 664 Salem Street. RE~T BOARD: OopF of notice re the retirement of C. Hegarty of the School Dept. personnel was f~r APPROVALS: Transfer of a gasoline tank license was approved and application to the state for funds· tram sidewalks were approved by the Board. PERS GTNEL BOARD: 'Letter outlining amendments proposed for the B~Law were itemized by the PersomUel Board. They will meet with proposers in Fire Cu.~any, December 15th. Selectmen s Assotcation and it was noted that the Assessor. ts were pmeparing an Article for ~Town Meeting .on this matter. . WATERSHED CO~CIL: Notice of a meeting on the above-named was referred to Bill Moaney, Water Dept. ~who representing the town on this matter. SAN~A UIAUS PARADE : The' Board voted to send Thank-Tou letters to Dana Fisher and the School C~.,~ttee for the,High School Band's performance in the parade at the advice cf ~Chairman McEvoy. 'Mr.~NcEvoy~said 'all others who participated had bean sent letters of appreciation. · 'The. Board~ expressed their appreciation for the work of the Chairman an~ his committee for the fine:parade, Sunday. · They stated it was the best Santa Claus Parade the town had ever had'. AD HOC COmmITTEE REPORT: The ~ard recsive~-theAAd Hoc Committee report for study. TO~N SEATING: : William McEvoy advised the Board that the Booster Club would provide busses for~grade school children on December 27th through December 30th, frnm 1 p.m. to ~:30 p.m. to goskating at the Brooks School~ink. The Busses would start from the Stop & Shop par~ing lot and return to same. He stated older children would not be included be- cause the y~unger children might possibly be hurt with the faster skaters who would probably play hockey, also. He stated that the Lion's Club had free skating for the townspeople of North ~mdover every Sunday night at the Frost arena frcm 8:1% to 9:15. WARRANT OP~NING & CLOSING: As mentioned at last week's meeting, the Town Warrant was officf,tly opened on this date at 7:30 p.m for inclusion of Articles for Town Meeting in March. It will close at 9:00 p.m. on January 9, 1967, at 9:00 p.m. TO~N REPOT O~CLUSI~: o~je Board voted to delete unimportant details from the coming Town Report. If any ections were received from the townspeople, the report would be returned to its former bulk.
