REMOVAL ~ERG]NCY declared, February 2, 1967, at 7:30 p.m. GAS EX~VATIC~S: Petitions were approved by the Beard to excavate for gas service repairs at the.following locations; Furber Avej cor. of High Street - ilO Osgoed St. - Sutton St. (at 4-Star Aviation - 1267 Osgoad St. - 402 Sutton St. G{ICKERING ROAD SIDEWALK REQUEST: A letter from the DM~ re. the above- named request advised the Board the funds for this work have veen, very limited over the past few years end neat year will not see eny im- provement. They suggested the request be submitted to J. Berkover, District Highway Engineer in Danvers and furnish him with a To~m agreement for the following: 1. provide funds for end place the sidewalk surface . 2. Be responsible for maintenance and snow removal on the completed sidewalk. 3. Be responsible for all slope easements end all grade damage claims by the abutters. 4. Make no assessments on abutters for work done by the Mass. Dept. of Publio Works. The District Will prepare end submit en estimate for the proJ$ct which will be placed on the priority list until such time as funds become available. They~suggested en alternate method for such construction in that the' Town would assume the full coat end future maintenence responsibility for the sidewalk project. Chairman Oakes stated that he believed, since it was a State road~ that the proposed sidewalk should be met by the State. It was voted to contact State officials further on this matter. BOARD O~ APPEALS: Notice of three hearings for February 13, was received by the Board. CONSERVATI~ BOARD: , , .~ .. A letter from the' above-namsd Board urged the Selectmen to keep intact the grounds and building of the former Town Infirmary fomathe future use of the Town of North Andover. ~The Board was spoken for by Selectmen W~liam Finneren when he stated that thay had every 'intention of 'keeping intact and perpetuatingthe current atmosph~r~that prevails at.,this · · location in the interests of the Tow~. The letter was received for further study. ~/~NUAL REPORT. · .R.V.T.H.SCHOOL: · ' The Annual Report of the Regional Vocational Technical High School was received. INSURAN CE: A certificate of insurance was received from GUlf Oil Corporation. ~.~CTR~IC VOTING'- IBM: ' The above-named letter was referred to the Boar~ of Registras for Study ASSESSMENTS: A letter from the Dept. of =orporatioms and ~axation was received for further study. T0~N INFIRMARY MEETING: Chairman Oakes noted that the meeting of deportment heads on Wednesday, 1:30 p.m, 2.~/67 will be held at the Infirmary, not in the Selectmen's Office.
