The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date, Chairmen Fred P.
0~kes presiding, Selectman William A. Finneran present.. Ralph E. Finck, Esq. was still
absent due to illness.
SNO~ R~NOVAL EMERGENCY DECLARED, MARCH 7, 1967, at 1:00 A.M.
Adjudication of Streets:
The accepthnce of twelve streets was tabled until Friday, 4:00 P.M~ March 10, 1967 to
enable the Board to evaluate reco~endatians from the Highway surveyor, Planning Board.~
and Board of Public Works. The Public Works Department approved acceptance and the High%.
way Dept., Planning Board diaapproved all streets except Old Village Lane. Attys. Will!~
stated that the streets had been constructed according to the Highway Surveyor!s specs .
end had been approved by him. The final hot-topping on one street had been delaye~ until
Spring at the request of Mr. Nicetta...Two lots, worth $10,000. are being held as a cove~-
ant until hot-topping was done. This, same statement was made fro Mark Rd. and Mablin
Avenue by men representing the abutters. Final vote will be taken Friday, March.lOth,.
JUROR:
George A. Holdsworth, 10 Harold St., was drawn to serve on April 3 sitting on Jury, at
STREET LIGHTS:
A street ,light survey for Cotuit Street was received end approved. Notice of installa-
tion of street lights were received. The street lights were installed on Barker, Gray,
~Andover end Johnson St, at Turnpike St...also on Mark, Glenwood end Faul~er Road, and
Sutton Street. '"

?A letter 'from Town Counsel advised the Board that they were not involved in
Relations Commission of Tmon labor departments.
The Board appointed Robert Goldberg, 29 Spruce :St., Lawrenc% M~ss. a Special Civil:.Cen-
stable to serve in Greater La~rence for one year, effective ~farch 6, 1967. ,,Mr. 'Goldberg~.,
is a repreaentative of a credit, company. ..

Mr. Oakes, retiring Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, expressed his appreciation end thanks
for the cooperation and aid given him in the past y~ar from his collegues, To~m department
heads end town employees. Mr. Oakes also thanked the town reporter, John H. Farretl, for
his excellent coverage of the Selectmen's meetings for the Eagle-Tribune.
