BARN ~ND GARAGE MOVING:
Richard Binette, Canton St., Lawrence, Trucker, appeared before the Board end requested
permission to move a barn and garage from Eagle-Tribune property on Rt. llb to ~o Johnson
Street then to Mill Road. He requested that the move be made Friday between ~ a.m. end
12 noon. He was advise~ that permission and reports had to be received from the Electric
and Telephone companies, the Tree Dept, Police end fire Depts. because of possible cables
end wires to be lifted during the moving. Also, a certificate of insurance had ~o be sub-
mitted before permission could be granted. A building permit was also required from the
Building Inspector together with signed consent of abutters to property where~bar~ was to
be placed on Mill Road.

Lawrence-North Andover Boundary Line:
On May 2, at 2:00 p.m. ~the Board of Selectmen held a meeting in their office with Lawrence
City officials;..Mayor Kiley, the City council, Alderman callahun end City Engineer, Santos
Nicolosi. Also present were Chief Joseph Lawlor and the Highway Surveyor, Nick Nlcetta.
Mr. Brasseur of Brasseur Associates, representing the town of North Andover, presented a
map with'~colored areas that showed the land that would be affected by the new boundary~ line.
Tt was agreed that Atty. Salisbury, Town Counsel, the Lawrence City Solicitor, Mr. Brasseur-i
and City Engineer, Mr. Nicolosi, would draw up mechanics of boundary lines; said plen would
have. to be approved at a TOWn Meeting, then go mo the State Legislature for approval. A
land surveyor wilIthen determine and locate m~numentscindtcating boundary line within a
six months period thereafter. ~

:~ H~RI~K ROAD -('ONE WAY).:HEARING: : '
Residents of Herrick Rd. and other roads in the vicinity met with. the. Board of Selectmen.to~.~
discuss the pros and cons of having Herrick Road made into a one-way street because of:'the '
way~ it intersected at Waverley Road. Danger of colliding vehicles ~was: the principle reason
for p~posal.. It was concluded by the Board stating they would take the matter under
·- ~e~t'~..'~S~eve Ercha of the district state traffice department was present for advice.
PO~E LOCATION HEARING:
~A' petition for a Joint pole location on Hillside Road (2 poles) was approved by the Board.~
:N~N.~NG. TEL. &..TEL. PETITION:
'A petition!was received from the telephone compeny to lay underground conduits, manholes,
c~$1es ia~d wires on Massachusetts Avenue from Carl Thomas playground to Johnson St. end
intersecting streets. As numerous abutters have to be notified, the Hearing was set for
Monday, Nay 29~ 'at 7:30 p.m.
BARN MOVING:
Reques~ to move barn and attached garage on Turnpike Street to MiLl Rd. by R. Binette was~.
taken under advisement until insurance end bond had been received by Town Counsel
GAS ExCAvATI~:
Petition was approved to excavate for installation of gas main and service on Hillside Road.
WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING:
The werrent was reopened for inclusion of more articles for the Special Town Meeting. The
date was also chenged from June 12 to June 19 because Town Counsel, Arnold Salisbury, had
a previous speaking engagement on the 12th.
MOVE REQUEST:
A request for a permit was received from Trustees of Coolidge Estate to move a tool shed
from Chhassett to the Coolidge estate on Audover Street on or abuu~iMay 29th. A letter will
be sent with conditions re the moving. As the tool shed is only 10 X 12 and 10' high, no
trouble with cables or wires is anticipated.
TRAFFiC LINES:
Selectman Finck asked Mr. Ercha is yellow lines could be painted on Rt. 114, a survey made
for a left turn near Boston Street and a No Passing line by Hillside Rd, first streem after
traffic lights on Rt. 114. N~. Ercha said that they would invest~ gate and make a report on
