The Board received a request from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council'~or a represntstive
to be appointed to help in the census count. T he matter was tabled for a week.

AIRPORT SERVICE ~NEWAL:
~epresentative James Hurrell 'appeared before the Board urging .that air travel service not be
encouraged by the Board at the Lawrence Airport. Residents nearby would be constantly ~plagud
by additional noise of plane take-offs and the value o2 their properties would be reduced
also.

Selectman Fred P. Oakes and ChalrmanWilliam A. Finneron.

The Board met ab 7 p.m. with the Advisory BoArd to discuss 1968 budgets.

Richard Hamel, 2i Perry Street appeared before the Board to complaining that~ {he~ J.F.~
Trucking company had been parking on the frontage of his property, damage had been donelto :
his fence and large piles of sand were being dumped near his home. The matter was referred
to the Building Inspector for investigation.

The empense of the January 7, 1968 enow storm was $11,129.~3 as per letter from'the H.S.
Estimate 1 of contract work done on Chapter 90 was referred to the Highway Surveyor.
YOUTH AND 'DRUG~:
Daniel L. Desmon$~Principat of N .A. High School, advised by letter that a program entitled ?
Youth ~and,mDrugs ,would.be conducted on Wednesday/at 1;30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The~ Board-
