DRAINAGE CONPLAINT:
A letter to Dr.,ay on the sewage overflow complaint of Mr. & Mrs. Howard was ssu~ by
Sanitary Engineer, Mr. William Driscoll. He stated that two syotems were presently
overflowing on property owned by Mr. Hamort and Mr. Querci .... the overflow was very
obvious, running down the driveways in both instances. Drainage from Mark Road. was
also investigated in 0ctobe~ at which time he found a considerable overflow coming
down the drives of Mr. Querci and Mr Hamori onto Mark Rd. It seems that the leaching
area was established in the front of each house, elevated to elimainate s possible
ground water table prevalent in that area. The builder cut down into the leach area
when he installed the driveways and these are the points where the overflow .exists.
Mr. Driscoll'recommended that this street be supplied with proper storm drains in order
that the homeowners can install interceptor drains, in order to alleviate a high ground
water problem. The homeowners hsould be ~icislly notified to correct the .overflow
of these systems as soon as the weather permits.
