STREET LIGHTING:
The Board approved a survey for street lighting on Bradford St., pole 1812 and Stevens St.
from Great Pond Road to Pleasant Street.
A survey for street lighting on Marion Drive was tabled for another week.
Notice received by the Board' of installation of street lights on Sutton, Milk and First St.
WELFARE OFFICE SPACE:
Notice from State We3_fare office requesting retention of present office location was re-
ferred to William Finneran who said he would attend to the matter.
ANIMAL INSPECTOR:
Notice of annual appointment for animal inspector was tabled until appointments are made.
AUTO LIABILITY:
Notice regarding town vehicle ~iabilities was referred' to-insurance agent, R. Lafond.

The Board of Selectmen were invited to open house at the new Andover High School on.

Benjamin Osgood and George Stern appeared before the Board to protest the installation
'of signs., on their streets by the Highway 'Surveyor reading, 'Private Way,. per order of
the Bosrd of Selectmen." They wanted to know why other streets that were also not Town
Ways posted with the same signs. Chairman Finneran advised them to get their lawyer
and discuss the matter with Town Counsel.

Att~.,~ George. Stella appeared before the Board to state that the existing CAC plan is highly
reco~mended~and he also highly commended John Monteiro who has by his efforts played a vital
par, t:in the_youth movement.
.A lette~from Town Counsel stated that the town had no jurisdiction over private property;
that're'sident should secure services of his lawyer to contend with the construction company
who i~rking trucks on said property.

A letter £rom. ~ay Z. James, District Sales Nansger, outlined the standards upon ~htch the
electric company bssed their recommendations for installation of str, eet lights. The Board
rec~_ved this letter ~r~th approval and further study.
POLLUT~C~ ,BILL: .
Representative Herrold appeared before the Board to report tht the Pollution abatement bill
was before the .Rules Committee and he and other representatives were endeavoring to have the
bill approved before Town Meeting, March 16, 1968.
He also stated that s public hearing will be held on March 6 at 2 P.M. on waste and solid
rubbish $isposai. Ne would like a representative from the town to present any opinions on
the matter. The DP~ will furnish financial aid for rubbish disposal if requested.
