HEARING: A petition to locate one Joint pole on Hewitt Avenue was tabled for one week st the request of an abutter, Mr. Donnelly who was concerned abou~ the only tree existing near location; Tree Warden, Leo Lafond, was requested to view the location and report to the Board his recommendation at the next meeting. FRED DELISI0 FINANCIAL STAT~NE~T: The Board was in receipt of the finanacial statement of the con~ractor awarde~ the bid verificationf°r the new police, station. DEPARTMENT HEAD; MEETING: A meeting called by Chairman Kirk of certain departm~t heads was.held at 8:~O p.m..' ~his meeting, the first of quarterly meetings, was conducted informally, to.acquaint the dspts.' of the purpose of these meetings. Problems of unaccepted streets, bond releases, road repair complaints and any other problems that can be rectified in other departments is the reason for these meetings.. Several realtors were present, some of whom ,were inclined,to promote lengthy discussions of the pros and cons of the stzeet problems but ~airman ~ said that these meetings would not be for the purpose of sirinm "ersonal ~'---~ _Kirk. that people attending thes~e meetings were to discuss all problems impersonnally. Mr. Kirk also mentioned the builder s lack of cozmmnication with town departments which happened/~e- quently.
