STREET LIGHT SURVEY:
A survey for a stree~ light on Sylvan Terrace was approved by the Board and requested in-
stalled.
GIRL.SCOUTS.
A thank you no~e was received from the Gir2 Scouts for their tour of town departments
conducted by the Board's~Secre~ary; Troop 54.
NBTA CONTRACT:
Letter (copy) sent to the ~BTA from Town Counsel was received by the Board.
TRO~LYBUS HEARING:
A letter from Lawrence Mayor Kiley assured the Board of his suppor~ of Trombly bus
NEW POLICE STATION GENERATOR:
A repor~ on the above-named generator to be installed was requsstedbythe Board from Chit
Lawlor and Assistant Electrical Inspector, Vincent Landers.
STORM DRAINAGE FACILITIES:
A letter re the above-named was referred to the Highway Surveyor.

POLE LOCATION:
A hearing was set for November 18, 1970, at 7:30 P.M. on a pole location on Heath Rd.
LICENSING CO~SSIONERS_:
Application for outdoor parking on his property was received' from Henry Poulin, 1635 Osgood
Street, opposite Western Electric Co. The Board took the application under advisement
until next meeting.
Application for renewal of Hichlyn Club license, to be held for one year until new premises
are obtained, was sent to Town Counsel for advice on the matter.

The regular meeting of the Board of Selectme~ was held on this date with all members
The Board met at 7:00 P.M. with the Advisory Board, Town Clerk and Board of P~gistra.
HEARING: (2)
Hearings were held on petitions to install 15 poles on Middleton Rd., 950feet n.e. from
Harold Parker Forest Road and installation of one pole on Heath Rd. Petitions approved.
#2 FUEL OILBIDS:
Bids to supply town buildings with #2 fuel oil were received and opened. Cyr Oil Co.,
the lowest bidder, was awarded the contract for one year.
NISSILE SITEROED:
Jacob Berkover sent letter to the Board in regards to the town taking over and maintaining
th~missile site road after 'ih was built. Mr. Finneranmade a motion that a "strong, 'N~I"
be the reply that the sta~e or government should stand all responsibility for cost and
m~intenance of. the road.
MBTA CONTRACT: .
A contract, in triplicate, re commuter train service to Boston from North Andoverwas sent
to the Board for approval. The Board voted to accept cont~actband signed the three copie~.
RESIGNATION:
A letter of resignation was sent to the Board by Lois Cushing, A School Crossing Guard.
Board accepted with regret and voted a letter be sent thanking her for her services to the
town.
UN DAY:
A financial and essay report was submitted on U N Day from Co-Chairman, Mrs. Elliot and
Mrs. Plant. The Board accepted the report and requested a letter of thanks and appreciat!
be. sent to them for their efforts.
NEW POLICE STATION:
A change order reques~ and 30 day extension for contractor of new police station was tab~
until letter with progress report was received. The Board so voted.
Police Station Generator:
The Board approved report from Chief Lawlor and V. Landers and voted generator to be
