The board' voted unanimously to grant a license to carry a revolver to Frank A.
- Comparone, 659 ,~averley Road. Also approved by Chief McKee.
DEPA~MENT OF PUBLIC ~OP~S:
Notice received that the Department of Public ~'~or~s certified that work to the value
of $13,659.37 has been performed under contract No. 15362 .to June~2~ 19%5 and
recommend that the sum of $1,547.00 be paid .to the contract, Martin Mallet.
, LA~?RENCE ELECTRIC CO:
· Notice received that a one thousand lumen Light has been installed on pole 1429,
Dale Street, in accordance with request of May 13, 1955.
FLOOR COVERING CO~TRACT:
The Board received a bill for $1850 from Joseph DeLeo & ~ons for covering t2 offices
in the building with rubber tile. The contractor made note of the fact that neither
,~ the contract nor the specifications required them ~o move the furniture and
no~ included in their quotation which amounted to $100.00. The Board voted to~.allow
.. $50.00, towards this expense.

of Route 110 will·be a Federal-State Highway, the l~ttar urges the Congressman
· ~.· support H. R. 7072 which places the cost of changes in the utility system in the
cost of the highway department..No action taken by the board.

"~EQUEST FOR ~ ~EMO~AL:
:Edward ~ of $%00sgood Street requests the removal of a large oak tree on
· ~. Chadwick Street in-~front of his proper~y.. ~is tree is dead and creates a hazard
while left standing. The board voted unanimously to,refer this,matter to the tree
warden for investigation and posting.
Notice received that Armand E. Lapointe et ~x have filed a petition for the registra-
tion of.land in North Andover on Adams Avenue. No action taken.
A copy of an acciden~ report on Arehie G~urley, Fire Department, was received by
.. the board. No action required. 'Mr. Gourley injured his ankle as he!s~epped from truck~
MASS. AS$O. SELECT~N:
Balletin informing the board that the next annual town meeting of this association
will be held on September 30, October 1 and 2 at t~e, Curtis Hotel, Lenox and if
they have any articles to be inserted in the warrant they should be sent 'in not
· later than August 1%. The board will discuss this later.
LAWRENCE - GA~ CO:
Permission was granted to this company to excavate 2% feet in street to install gas
· service fro Joseph Bishop 334-336 ~averley ~oad. This form had been approved by
the Board of Public $~orks. Notice will be sent to Mr. Carry.

Petition for permission, to locate poles and wires on the easterly side of '$ilsbee
Road, at a point approximately 116 feet wontheriy from Herrick Road, 1 pole, was

JL petition received for permission to relocate poles, wires, etc. on ~ood Lane,
approximately 54% feet south of ~averley Avenue, 1 pole(remove 1- pole). No hearing
required and the board, voted unanimously to grant this permission.
A petition for permission to abandon and remove poles, and fixtures, on ~intsr Street,
southeasterly from a point approximately 600 feet southeast of South Bradford Street,
remove 6 poles, was approved by unanimous vote of the board. No hearing required.
