article in the warrant for Green Street work and the State and County have.approved
this street for this work. However, Lawrence is not ~planning ~o do' any work on
:North:Parish Road under Chapter 90 and the board.feels that it would be unfair
to spend all this money and come tO a'dead'end street.at the bridge~
Mr. Dolan stated that Salem Street has been surveyed and. there was a project there
,:early in 19hO. The road is in very poor condition and something should be done at
omce.
Mr. Broadhead stated that the State and County have to be considered in these
matters since they pay 75% of the cost and the board woul"d have to'contact them
before they could make any decision· However, he felt that Mr. Car%y should be able
to do something to make the street passable and the board vote to ask him to meet
with them on March 19, 1956 at 7:30 P.M. to discuss this work.
