NEW ENDLAND TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY and LAWRENCEELECTRIC COMPANY Petition for Joint or identical Pole Locations on the westerly and easterly sides of Farnum Street, at points approximately.1312 feet and 1433 feet northerly from Brook Street, 2 poles. Board voted to call a public hearing March 4, 1957 at 8:30 P.M. in the Selectmen's Office. FEBRUARM 25, 1957 The regular weekly meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at 7:30 P. M. with all members present. Weekly bills and.payrolls were approved. GULF OIL CORP. Received a letter from Gulf Oil Corp. with Certificate #389 under Policy RSL - 6483877 with the Travelers Ins. Co. providing bodily injury and property damage liability on advertising signs in North Andover. These we~accepted and and filed. Letter in letter file and Policy in vault with insurance ~olicies. Highway Dept. truck - John C. Damon Received a letter from Thomas J. McGrail Jr. enclosing two letters that had been forwarded to him byAtty. Thcmson. Mr. McGrail stated the Highway Dept. vehicles are not covered under Fleet Policy. These letters referred~o Atty. Aruthur A. Co. and Lawrence Electric Co. Ahearing was held at 8:30 for a Joint pole location on the westerly and easterly sides of Farnum Street, at points approximately 1312 feet and 1433 feet northerly from Brook Street, 2 poles. Mr. & Mrs. Coleman, ~. &Mrs. Thompsona nd Mr. Alvah Hayes appeared in favor of the petition. Board unanimous~v voted the petition be granted. ROUTE llO as Freeway Received an acknowledgement from the State Department of Public Works in reference to Route llO as Freeway they also enclosed a copy of Chap. 659 of the Ac~s of 1956. CHAPTER 9O Received a notification from Director of Accounts, Herman B. Dine that a check in the sum of $27,024.15 is being sent from the Treasurer of the Commonwealth. This is the town,s share of Chapter 90, Construction. Board voted to refer the contents of this letter to the Treasurer, James Maker~- ~RAINAGE CONDITION ON OSG00D STREET Received a letter from the New England Tel. & Tel. Co. in answer to our letter of Feb. 20th advising that this is no condition in which the Telephone Company is responsible. Board voted to advise the Highway Surveyor, Ira Carty to investigate the cause of the condition and report back to the Board. Received a letter from Mr. George N. Hurd, Jr. on behalf of Massachusetts Institute of Technology expressing their heartfelt appreciation to the Inhabitants of the Town and Town Boards and Officials for their cooperation. Moved letter be received. Received a notice for nomination of Inspec%or of Animals. Moved this be filed. DUTCH ELMDISEASE CONTROL Received a letter from the Department of Natural Resources in reference to the Dutch elm disease control. Board mowed this be referred to Mr. John Connors.
