Finneran, Attorney William B. Dully, Jr. with Chairman Arthur p. Kirk .pre~.ding. The weekly warrant was approved as submitted. 26-PC~E PETITIC~-LACE~ STREET: considerable discussion ensued on this petition tabled for two week's. Tree Warden, strong disapproval to J. Casey, Right of Way Agent for the telephone company, for,Mr. La- fond stated, allowing a tree trimming company to come into North Andover to trim trees on Lacey street ~r. Lthout consulting and receiving permission from him department first. He stated, furthermore, that this particular tree company, the Ralston Tree ~rimming CompanY, has* not been allowed to trim trees in North Andover because of their inferior work. , Mr. ~asey replied that the tree tri,m,~ng company had been instructed not to trim any trees until they had consulted ~*~th the Tree warden. He had instructed them again, that after- noon to cease all trimming until Warden was centacted~ M~. k~Lrk asked if the proposed telephone service was for people connected w~th the par Would you.continue the project if~the PAR site is abandoned? Mr. Casey stated that they would be in a lot of back work if the Site is constructed. Asked by Mr. Kirk, if site is not constructed, would* poles be abandoned? Nr. Casey stated that expensive and if not needed, world be taken do~m. That the problem, however, will resolved until the Tree warden is completely sattsfied$ he then requested that the petit- ion be tebled: until Mr. Lafond gives the go sign. Zoning By-_L~_w at hearing on ~March 3, planning Board. The Board voted to send a letter in explanation of their sponsor- of Article 14 ~hich provides for the creation of a ,~onte 114 Study ~committee." The Board feels that the development of Route 114, a "Key" area in the town is at a very crit- ical stage. While it.is not their intention to call a halt ~o worthwhile development of the area, it is their intention, through the creation of this kind of study comittee, to indicate that'there is a burden on people and developers in this area to demonstrate that his project would fit in a complete schedule of development for this area. C~E~NDATIGI: ST. I~ICEAEL~S ~CMEN: The Board voted to send a letter of congratulations to the coach and members of the St. MichaA el's Mac Men Basketbsll Team for winning the Central Catholic Grammar School basketball league championship. They sent their best wishes and moral support for the tournament. games to come. PAR SITE: The Board voted to send a memo to the Conservation Co,,~,~ttse, Tree Warden, Police and Fire Chiefs, planning Board, Board of Public Werks and Highway Dept advising or requesting them to send any co~ittments or resolutions their respective departments had in outiining re- quirements that should be discussed in reference to the PAR site. AD HOC C~ITTEE - NN~ FIRE STATIG~= The Board ~,ill meet again on ~ma~d~y, February 20, with the Ad Hoc Conmuittee, Chief Daw and the Pire Engineers to discuss the proposed new fire substation. ASSESSORS - APARtmeNTS: ~ The Board voted .to request from the Board of Assessors, E. Phe!en, Chairman, the approxi- mate time the Assessors could submit a report on the. assessments and taxation of apartments.
