HOC?ER BUS:
A letter from Chief Lawlor advised the Board that the bus parked on- the Hooper property
in violation of the Town By-Laws had been registered but was still inoperable. The Board
v~ted to have a letter sent to ~r. Hooper requesting compliance with the SeleCtmen's pre-
vious letter to remove the bustas requested.
N~N FIRE STATIGI:
Selectmen Arthur p. Kirk, designated Chairman Administrator for the new Fire Station in-
cluding the necessary land-taking, advised the Board that notices had been sent to ~htef
James p. Dew, the Fire Engineers, Snell and Fisher, and Rober Owens, Chairman of the Ad
Hoc Committee to attend meeting which was held on March 27, to discuss necessary details
with Architect, Mr. Goodwin.

The Board voted to send letter to J. Berkover, District Highway Engineer, re reconstruction
of Great pond Road. Highway Surveyor approves sending of letter if it_,~es not interfere
with reconstruction of salem Street.
~0 PERMANENT PATR~fl~N:
The Board.voted to request list of eligible men for appointment as permenent patrolmen from
Civil Service.

The Board made the annual appointments at this .meeting. (See Ap~intment Sheet)

The Board of Selectmen held their regular meeting on this date with all members present.
The weekly warrant was approved as submitted.

Selectman Kirk stated that he was not satisfied with the progress cf the new Police Station

NN~ POLICE STATI~ PARE~NG AREA:
A letter from Thomas Leavitt inquired of the Board why a parking area was being constructed
in ~ont of the new police station. Selectmen Arthur p. Kirk stated that he would~direct
the reply. ~
TREE REMOVALS - NN~ FIRE STATIC:
The Board voted to have a hearing on th~ removal of trees at the site of the new FLre~
Station at 7:30 P.M. on April 14, 196~. The area involved will be between johnson and
Streets.

PRIVATE AMBULANCE SERVICE:
The Board advised Mr. Poulin and Atty. Ceffrey that the Board could mot give a decision on
the private ambulance service petition until Chief Jame P. Dew had submitted his approval
of the rates. The matter was tabled until April 14th.
