TOWN ACCOUNTANT: FLOOD DAMAGES:
The Town Accountant, David Roche, submitted a report end form to be executed by the Board
which will enable the Town to be reimbursed for past flood damages.
GAS EXCAVATIONS:
Two petitions were approved to excavate for gas services at 209 Johuso~ St., ~1 Main St.
and 30 Miflin Drive. -
NOTICES AND LETTERS REC~VED:
0~ Outdoor Advertising -- Referred to the Building Inspector.
School Insurance from Supt. Garofoli -- Referred to R. Lafond, Ymsurance ChBix~en.
Dept. of Public Utility Rearings - Received.
Memorandum on Law Enforcement -- Referred to Chief Lawlor.
Highway and Transit Plan -- Referred to John MOntiero.
WAVERLEY ROAD REGULATIONS:
The Board received and approved DP~ regulations re Waverley Rd. Truck restriction subject
to approval of TOWn Counsel.
NOTICE OF INTENT - GLOBE STREA~! & FOREST CLDB:
Notice of intent to cOnstuct pond from the above-named was set for a hearing on August 4, at
7:30 p.m.
NN~ ~ STATION CONTRACTS:
chief Daw submitted list of contractors who bid on construction of the new Fire Station.
' MASS. AVENUE ACCEPTANCE:
jacob Berkover sent letter requesting town's acceptance of Mass. Avenue. Aletter from the
Highway Surveyor expressed his dissatisfaction of incompletion of job and listed requirements
before the street could be accepted by the town.
~MBTA.- PASSENGER SERVICE:
A letter sent to Town Counsel was son~ ~ the Board from the NBTa requesting a copy. of Article
and vote taken at last town meeting re new contract. The article was to be sent to ~r.McLaugh~in.
Survey for street lighting on 25 Wood Ave .... Tabled.
Letter re Czarnecki complaint....settled .... from the Board of Public Works.
Rt. 114 Reconstruction reporm on Public Hearing, July 24, 1969 .... Anthony Leuno~':, Turnpike
Street, appeared before the Board and protested reconstruction of Rt. 114. He s~ated he
could not see why Board was recorded in newspaper as not opposed to the widening of said
street. The Board stated that the present plato,was a preliminary plan and would be changed
to people's wishes as much as possible.
CNAPTER 90 - SAL~( ST.
Selectman Finneran reported that theChapter 90 work on Salem Street was being finalized and
that a very good Job was being done.

The Board of Selectmen held their regular meeting on this date with all members present,
William A. Finneren, Arthur p. Kirk and Chat~men William B. Duf£y, Jr. presiding.. The
Warrant was approved as submitted.
FIRE DEPT. SUBSTATION CONTRA~T:
Charles Matses, representing the Charles Construction CO., Inc. and the Board discussed
the above-named contract and executed the 5 copies of the contract. Prior to the signing,
Selectmen Kirk stated that he had been in contact with Town Counsel who approved the con-
tract. A motion by him to sign was seconded by Selectmen F~eren, made unanimous by
chairman Dully. The Board voted to have the bonds screened by Town counsel and copies of
the contract were distributed to Town Accountant, Board of Fire Engineers, Architect,
Builder and original to Town Clerk along with the specifications.

The Board received a recommendation from th. Highway Surveyor re Chapter 90 work for. next
year end they voted unanimously to accept the above-named and emecuted the three cop~es.
