The Board of Selectmen met on this date with aL1 members present; Selectmen John F.
Thomas J. McEvoy with Chairman Joseph A. Guthrie presiding. The minutes and warrant
approved, as submitted.
INSURANCE:
Chuck Speicher, Jr., Agent for Colonial Insurance Co. met briefly with the Board to ex-
plain the extra coverage provided by his company in comparison with Lu~bermen's Casualty
Co. The Board placed the matter, in pending, to be referred to the Insurance Co,=.~ttee
when they are appointed.
MASSACHUSE2TS AVE. SPEED:
Letter fr~m District Highway Engineer advised the' Board~that, after a survey, they de-
cided that the speed limit on Mass. Ave. be reduced from 40 mph to 35 mph. They will
process this reduction and send to Board for their signatures.
POLE LOCATIONS:
Petition received for joint pole location on' Chestnut St. Nearing set for April 26,7:30

GAS EXCAVATIONS:

Letter from Advisory Board stated that they were funding T. Bldg. Expenses in the amount
of $3000. Stated they had received Board's request for $8,240. ~hich they would see to

PUBLIC WO~S ARIICLE:
Members of Board of Public Works, Board of Health and Conservation Commission discussed,
at length; with Selectmen their Article requesting ikmds for a study of future sewerage
installations on Dale St. Asked the Board's support which was given, and Selectmen ad-
vised the Board of Public Works to meet with the Advisory Board before Town Meeting ~o
further explain said Article. Article was step to protect drinking water of Lake Cochi
chewick.
