Letter from Airport Manager, Thomas Davies, Jr. re S~11ivan complaint re airport noise.
PUBLIC UTILITY POLES:
Mr. Bud Cyr of the Highway Department came before the Board to bring to their attention
the un~itely inconvenience that double utility poles are causing the highway department
in their work. He said that he has contacted the utility companies involved in the re~oval
of the single poles that are not being used but has got no results. He asked the Board to
meet with the proper officals in order to start the splitting up of double utility poles
as soon as possible.
GAS EXCAVATION:
Approved: Petition to excavate in street to repair gas main at Milk St. at Johnson St.
Notification to gas company that a police officer will be required.
CETA POSITIONS:
The Board approved the requests from the town department heads and motioned the letter
be sent to Mr. Wood of the CETA Office enclosing the Job descriptions and salaries submitted
by the town.departments.
NEPJ~2.~ACK VALLEY HOME CA~E CENTER SUPPOP~:
The Board authorized that a letter be sent to George S. Moran, Ex. Director of the
Merrimack Vsdley Home Care Center stateing that the Selectmen, on beha.!f of the Town
of North Andover, file their intention to enter into a contract with the Home Care Center
relative to Fiscal 77 year.
Jurors drawn by Selectmen Thomas J. McEvoy to serve at a June 1st sitting in Lawrence were:
Loula May Sta]] ard, 60 Bradstreet P~., Richard C. Lafond, 321 0sgood Street, and Teresa E.
Mahoney, 300 Andover Street. Drawn to serve at a June 7th sitting in Salem was Augustine J.
Lonergan, Barman Drive.
OTHER BUSINESS:
The Board proclaimed the week of May 10 - May 14,1976 as Municipal Clerks WeeE.
A meeting was set for Monday, May 17,1976 at 7:00 p.m. with the Firefighters Local 2035,
Denis Currier, President.
