The Beard cf Selectmen held their regular meeting on this date with all members present;~3
Selectmen Jehn F. Ccady, Thomas J. ~cEvoy with Chaiman Jeseph A. Guthrie presiding. The
minutes and warrant were approved as submitted.
AllNO ~A~D SALISBURY:
Letters received from Tewn Ceunsel re the Planning Bd. and Bd. of Appeals dispute; case
w~l be filed. Board veted tc autherize Town Counsel to proceed with~the final steps by
filing the"
Stipulation of Dismissal., ~ith the Superior Court.
Letter re the Appledore v. Planning Cd. civil action. Mr. Salisbury stated that the actien
was ever but he thinks that it will be re-instituted.
Letter from Salisbury contained two deeds necessary for the inst~ation of a chain link fenc
at Aplin Playground.
PR~DONST~CTION CONFERENCE:
Netice of above-named conference to be held at the District Five Cons.truction Office, 485
Maple Street, Derivers at lO:C0 A.M. on Tuesday, Octeber 12, 1976. Brman Sudlivan and Bud Cy~
will attend.
TWO HOUR RA~ING:
Approval received from the State Dept. of Public Works for 2-hour parking on Water Street,
request of Davis & Furber Co. Secretary will advertise same, cepy to Chief Lawlor.
TPAFFIC SIGNAL BID:
The Board veted to award the centract to install a Traffic Signal a~ the cerner of Waverly
Rd. and Mass. Avenue to LeBaron, Inc. in the amount of $4,997, the lewer bid of two bids
received. Chief Lawlor recommended the award. Letter sen~ to Traffic Systems, the ether
bidder, enclosing bond for his bid. Check for $500. from LeBaron given to Town Treasurer
to held.
LOCAL 64 - PERSONAL DAY:
Board voted to send letters to Tree, Highway and Public ~orks Departments advising them
that the items agreed to by the Bargaining Committee and Local 64 should be put into effect
immediately. Two sections of the Agreement are of particular concern to all parties. These
sections refer to call-outs and Personal Days .... A~T. CL~ IV, Sec. 5 and Ar~ic!e VI, Sec. 7.
Copy of letters sent to Charles Black, President of Iocal 64.

Petition sent' by the above-named for an Arbicle to be inserted in the next Special Town Meet-
ing, if ~11 ed. PLaced in folder with others.
TRemBLY BUS PA~ING:
Due to many complaints re the congested area on Scheol Street, next to Finneran's Drug Store
Trembly Bus w~11 be asked to park behind the Donut Shoppe. This has been made possible
through the courtesy of Santo Nessimm, owner of the parking.lm~ The Beard veted to send a
letter of thanks and appreciation for his continued cooperation with the Board.
