Joseph 'Merkeski, 394 Sutton Street, was appointed unanimously by the Beard to represent the
town on the Greater lawrence Community Action Council.
INSURANCE:
The Board met with Richard lafond, once more, to discuss the proposed Town's Comprehensive
Liability.

POLICE LEGAL ADVISOR:
After considerable discussion on the above-named appointment, the Board voted to have Chair-
man Eirk pursue the matter further. Before the matter can be settled, the Advisory Board
would have to be consulted.

The re~,~-r meeting of the Beard of Selectmen was held on this' date with all
present; Selectmen W.B.Duffy, Jr.- Joseph A. Guthrie with Chairman Arthur P. Kirk presiding.
The minutes and warrant were approved as submitted.
The B card approved a petition for pole locations on Salem Street; north of ~Foster, street,
~7 poles (remove ~ poles) and sbuthwest of Bexford Street, I pole (remove 1' pole) ,12 ab~tters

BOSTON GZOBE AND STREAM CO~PIAINT:
Nr. and lire. Araeuault appeared before the Beard to protest the results of a ~nd being
installed by the Beston-Globe and Stream Club. Mr. Areeuaitlt s~ated that the 01d. Wood Road
that had always been a convenient right of way had been flooded out and because the drainage
of the ~wamp lamd had been filled in, the wet lands surrounding' his property had been flooded.
He stated that he wanted to buy land there but, because of the flooding, he could not have
it suaweyed or appraised. Ne stated that he had written to a N~. Schwelm, Dept. of WaterWays
at 100 Nashua Street, Boston, Mess. but did 2ot get an~ results or satisfaction from Mr.
$chwelm's representative that came out to view the situation, aspecia~!y in regard to the
Right of Way that was always supposed to be kept open. The Beard voted to have Selectman
Joseph Guthrie investigate the matter and peruse 15 further with a Mr. Tilton of the Dept.
of Natural Resources. Mr. Outhrie stated that he would meet with Mr. Tilton at the site.
