ApPlications were received for three, P~staurant, Ail ~ooholic licenses for Maggie's Place,
by Almar, Inc., 1288 Osgoed Street, Shields Inc, 100-102 Sutton Street, and Chris' Drive-In,

The Board of Selectmen held their reg,-let meeting on this date with all members present~ Joseph
A. Guthrie, William B. Duffy, Jr. and Chairman Arthur P. Kirk, presiding. The ~r~ant was
approved as submitted.
A letter from the Board of Public ~orke edv~snd the Boar~· that they had arranged to
meet with
Frs. DeMauro to discUSs her request for sewer ahatemente.

As noted in the Septemher 13th minutes, the Board of Public Works stated in a letter that· they
would supPly trash containers in this area if the Highway Dept. would empty them.

TRAFFIC O0~TROL- BEP~OVm~:
A letter from J. HerMover advised the ~oard that the necessary speed signs and painting of
lines om Rt~ 12S would be done in the very~ near future. His office had requested the Dept~ ef
Public Works, in Boston, to participate in a cooperative sidewalk for Chickering Rd. from Peters
Street:.to Main. Street but the Boston Office informed.him that no action has been taken on'his
recommendation due to limited ~,~, ~vailable for~ this type ef project. Fr~ BetRayer
as ~he has hearth-since 1~67, that.the alternate solution would be for the Town of North
ceustrno~t the .sidewalk, under m permit, and aside the full cost or,the Project. A remote
ibility~ existed.~that this project could be included under .the "Topics" program, if included with
Safety features~snoh as traffic lighte~ etc.~ He alac stated that, inthe very~uear future,
meeting~-would be arrange between town officials ~ the Lionel Parle _w~Einsering Co. who are'the

discussed. The ~Board voted to have the Chairman replyto Fr. Herkover expressing their dis-
