GAS EXCAVATION:
Letter from Law. Gas Co. advising Board that Emil J. Incollingo, Inc. 239 Tyler St., Methuen
planned to excavate at 233 Johnson St. Copies to departments.
LAWRENCE AIRPOFS C0I~PLAINTS:
Letters received on the above-named matter from the La~rence Airport Commission and Town
Counsel. Copies of both letters sent to Edward Keisling, 11 Richardson Ave. The matter was
tabled.
GREAT PO~ ROAD:
Letter from Planning Board requested a Special Town Meeting on proposed scenic road. ~tter
was tabled un~il meeting (working) of Selectmen with Bud Oyr and Frits Ostherr on Thursday,
Sept. 5.
INGLEWOOD STOP SIGN:
Letter received from Chief Lawlor re Stop sign on Inglewood St.

LICENSING COMNISSIONERS:
RESTAURANT, ALL .~LCOHOLIC LICENSE: HEARING:
A hearing was held on application of Clayton F. Strobe&, Inc. at 80 Chickering Road, to be
known as Party's Yellow Ribbon.
Objectors: Betty Wilson, 25 Village Green Drive, Beth Tebbets, same address, co-owaers of
condominium at 25 Village Gr. Dr.
Joan Donaghy, and Alice Whitmore, 19 Village Gr. Dr.
They objected to nois.e in the parking lot made by big trailer trucks left running and noise
from en~rtainment, nomse from dumps~er at closing hours, etc. Mr. Strobel assured the ladies
that he %fas going to run a nice, quiet, respectable restaurant ~rith~ a I or 2 man band for
entertair~ent. He also said the the refuse would be picked up at reasonable hours, not late
at night.
Atty Philip Reilly and Atty. Oscar Toye, 15 Court St., Boston, Mass. objected, also. Their
objection was due to the fact that they were st.~11 in the process of negotiations with Counsel
of the owner of the property, Mrs. Beatrice German. Atty. John Lynch, Counsel for Mrs. German,
advised the Selectmen that he knows of no agreement, memorandum or oral facts pertaining to the
real estate at 80 Chickering Rd and informed the Board that Mrs. German was in favor of the
Strobel application. Mrs. German confirmed this statement.
Upon ik~rther discussioh, Selectman Guthrie motioned that Strobe! be granted the license. Mr.
Coady seconded the motion. Mr. Strobel could receive the license ONLY after Selectmen had
received the required Certificate of good standing, payment of 1/3 of the fee, and approval
from the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission.
GASOLINE STORAGE:
Hearing w~s set for August 26, 1974, 7:45 p.m. on application for a license to store gasoline
from charles Construction
