The Board of Selectmen held their regular meeting om this date with all members present;
Selectmen John F. Coady, Joseph A. Guthrie with Chairman John P. Kirk presiding. The
minutes and warrant were approved as submitted.
POLE PETITION:
Petition of New England Tel. & Tel,: Co. and ~ass. Electric Co. to relocate a pole on River-
view Street was'approved by the Board at set hearing.
MODULAR HO~:
Upon request of Building Inspector in a letter dated, September 9, 1974, the Board voted
to approve Underwriter,s Laboratories, Inc. as the agency to inspect a modular home for
San Gianni, to be located on Wesley Street.
GAS EXCAVATION:
Approved; petition to e~cavate on Boxford St. to install a gas service.
LEAGUE OF WO~N VOTERS:
The Board proclaime~ the week of September 8-14, League of Women Voters Week. Mrs. Benoit
accepted the Procls.-,tion.
POLE & %fIRE LOCATION:
The Board set hearings for pole and wire locations on Chickering Rd. on Sept. 23, at 7:30.
Abutter to be notified.
The Board approved petition of Mass. Electric and New England Tel. & Tel. Co. to attach
wires and fixtures to existing poles om Ingalls Street, nc hearing necessary.
Letter from Gulf Oil Company listing scheduled prices for gasoline and fuel oils.
Letter from Superintendent of Schools comendi.~ the Selectmen for their perseverance and
work to effect the installation of the overpass for the new High School.
Letter from J. Marph Yule, Senate Aid, asking permission to attend the Selectmen,s meetings
to enable Senator Rurak and himself to keep in closer contact with the needs of the town.
The Board voted to send letter of welcome to Mr. Yule enclosing a schedule of the Selectmen,s
meetings.
