The Board of Selectmen held their regular meeting on this date with S~lectmen Guthrie
present as Acting 8hairman of Licensing Board and John F. Coady, presiding Chairman of
the Board. The Warrant and minutes were approved as submitte. Selectman Kirk absent.
JURORS DRAWN:
Louise A. Roe, 44 Ashland St., William A. Houde, 45 Boston Street and Philip E. Roche,
1681 0sgood Street were drawn for the Narch l0 Sitting, at Lawrence.

GARAGE CLE.Wd~ OF WORKS:
Letter received from Frank Gelimas, Chairman of the Municipal Facilities Building Co~.
advised the Selectmen that during the construction of the new Town Garage, the Committee
will require the services of a construction Clerk of the Works. The Selectmen voted to
hold the request until some time after Town Meeting when they ~rill advertise for applicants
to fill the position.

Letter from Paul Tsongas, member of Congress, thanking Board for Selectmen's action taken
on the building permit for the Sanitary District Treatment facility.

Selectmen approved maintenance work o.~ five poles on Stevens St. No hearing necessary.
ESSEX CTY. ADVISORY BD. DESIGNEE:
In accordance with Sec. 28B, Chap. 35 of the General Laws of Nassachusetts, Chairman Coady
appointed and authorized Selectman Joseph A. Guthrie to act in his absence for the Town
of North Andover in all~mtters which may come before the Essex County Advisory Board. The
above-roamed resolution was sent Certified Mail to Shledon S. Cohen, ~ec. of the ECAB.

the Selectmen's meeting. The minutes and Warrant were approved as submitted. Selectman
Kirk was absent.

taken when schedule permitted.
NOTICE OF INTENT:
Letter from Robert 'T.Tierney, Chief Engineer of the DPW advised the Board the Notice of
Intent for the overhead pass area was in the process of being filed.

Several copies of letters on Solid Waste Holt Road Landfill were received. N.r. Cyr
would like a meeting ~rith Kenneth Tarbell, Regional Sauit.a. ry Engineer, Chairman of the
Board of Selectmen, member of the Board of Health and himself with a representative of
Camp, Dresser & NcKee, present, on the above-named matter.
Newsletter and survey request from Gr. Lawrence Chamber of Commerce. Referred to J. Willis.
