Re : Campion Hall Subdivision
I spoke with Bill Hmurciak this week regarding the drainage
concerns of Mr. Eisenberg. Bill informed me that he plans to
regrade the areas where water is collecting near three driveways in
the subdivision, one of them being Mr. Eisenberg' s. It is expected
that within the next 2-3 weeks Bill will start work to redirect the
water to the catch basins as designed.
I called Mr. Eisenberg today and informed of the proposed work to
be done by the Town. Therefore, it is not necessary that you call
him on the matter. If you have further questions on the status of
the subdivision, let me know,

RE: As-Builts - Campion Hall
Cochichewick Drive
Dear Ms. Bradley,
As a result of our completing all field work and related working
plans on the above referenced, we were able to isolate the drainage conditions along
lots 5 and 6.
The grade along this easterly sideline of Campion Road and spot
grade in abutters driveways indicate little relief but sufficient to adequately drain
in this area. Now with the construction of bituminous concrete curb it should direct
and control the surface runoff towards the existing catch basin.
It is our opinion that this area should property drain and that no
further construction or paving work will be necessary.
Should you have any questions please give me a call.
Yours truly,

Re: Campion Hall - Drainage Issues
Karen Nelson, Director of Planning and Community Development
Bill Hmurciak, Assistant Director of the Department of Public
Works; Jim Curran, Appleton Land Surveyors, and myself met on
Wednesday May 19, 1993 to discuss Mr. Curran' s progress on the
as-built plans for Campion Hall.
Mr. Curran stated that Mr. Isenberg, a resident on the street,
had constructed a berm around his property which did alleviate
the drainage problems on his property. Mr. Curran was directed
to write a letter to the Planning Staff outlining his thoughts on
Mr. Isenberg's berm.
The Planning Staff will than draft a letter to Mr. Isenberg.
I
The question was raised as to the location of the 20 foot
pedestrian access between lots 6 and 7 . Mr. Curran is to research
this as part of the overall project.
Mr. Curran agreed to have the plans to the DPW by the end of this
week, as well as written summary, detention pond calculations.
I called and left a message with Mr. Curran's office today
regarding the letter he was supposed to send us.

Re: Campion Road - Louis Isenberg Letter
The Town through its Planning Board, has hired Jim Curran of
Appleton Land Surveyors (with bond funds) to draft final as-built
plans of the Campion Hall Subdivision and to put in stone bounds.
Once these as-built plans are completed, the DPW will review them
and make a recommendation as to how the drainage problems with
the roadways can best be solved.
I will be meeting with members of the DPW staff and Mr. Curran
next Wednesday, May 19, to discuss his progress with the plans.
He has not been paid for any completed work. If you have any
further questions please do not hesitate to call me. I will give
you another update next week after our meeting with Mr. Curran.

Dear Jim:
Some weeks ago I spoke to you on the telephone regarding the ongoing
problem on Campion Road and Cochichewick Road.
You stated that you were going to speak with the person in charge
and get back to me in a day or two. It is now about 3 weeks with no
call back.
I really shouldn't complain as it only took from 1987 to 1991 to
discover that the town had an unidentified bond in an unidentified bank
for some $48,000. (No interest! )
North Andover supposedly got these funds and since then we have had
installed 3 street signs and some granite markers. This is PROGRESS!
There are also about 6 or 8 granite markers extra. (What a waste of tax
dollars. )
Anyhow, Jim, I know how busy you are and some of the neighbors
suggested that we write to the "CITIZEN” and maybe we would get more
action. What do you suggest?
As ever, a happy tax payer.
