Site Drainage at the New House and vicinity
I. The site dMinago strategy for the next phase of work at the "Cottage" was
done in association with H.W. Moore Associates of Boston, Mass utio are our Civil
Engineering Consultants, Please refer to attached sketch.
2. The central drainage concerns are based on the following design decisions for
the now and existing structures,
a) The now house will be attached to the existing barn structure, at the site of
the existing 2 2' x 2 2" horse barn.
W The existing horse barn will be moved approximately 50 feet to the south
and ro-:oriented to a now turn-around circle which will terminate the driveway. It
will then be to-habilitated in keeping with its architectural character. Future use
will be as a playhouse with some garden tool storage.
3.) The proposed turn-around will be paved 60 feet In diameter with an
unpaved circle of plant material in the center which will contain a catch basin with

5.) The south side of the driveway Will be raded from the new horse barn
location to a point appro)dmately 80 feet east of the Cottage. This work will include m.

8.) Please note that in addition to the surface drainage control techniques
described above,, full foundation waterproofing and footing drains will also be
employed on the house, barn and relocated horsebarn, END
