Stormwater Management PLANNING()EPARTMENT
1. Inspection, maintenance and repair of the Stormwater Management System,
including the pervious paver driveway, catch basin, roof drains, roof drain
cleanouts/overflows, and infiltration trenches (if accessible) shall be the
responsibility of the owner of the property(Owner).
2. During construction an Inspection and Maintenance Report form shall be
completed daily by the Owner. The form shall be signed and filed on-site at a pre-
designated location.
3. When construction is complete, Owner shall inspect the stormwater management
system at least once every month, including visual inspection of the catch basin
and roof drain cleanouts/overflows. The owner shall ensure that no portion of the
stormwater management system is damaged,blocked or otherwise in a state that
prevents its proper operation.
4. Owner shall ensure that silt and debris within the catch basin does not accumulate
to a point at which the structure no longer functions as intended. Owner shall have
the catch basin cleaned at least twice per year or when silt and debris
accumulates to 1-foot within the sump.
5. Owner shall be responsible for regular maintenance of pervious paver driveway
including removing any vegetation, silt or debris between individual pavers and
otherwise ensuring that the infiltrating capabilities of the paver system are
preserved. The Owner shall perform a visual inspection of the driveway once
every month.
Erosion and Sediment Control
1. During construction and until the entire site has been stabilized the Owner shall
daily inspect the siltfence and haybale barrier for defect or excessive silt
accumulation. An Inspection and Maintenance Report form shall be completed,
signed and filed on-site at a pre-designated location.
2. Owner shall be responsible for immediately replacing any siltfence or haybale
that is defective and removing any silt or debris that has accumulated.
During Construction
1. During demolition of the existing dwelling,the existing driveway shall remain to
provide a surface from which heavy equipment can work.Areas beyond the
existing driveway that will be traveled over by heavy equipment shall be
mulched. Upon completion of work,mulch shall be removed from the site.
2. All excavated materials shall be removed from the site at the time of excavation.
No stockpiles of un-usable materials shall be permitted at the site. Loam
stockpiles shall be surrounded at all down-gradient limits with a siltfence and
haybale barrier.
3. All areas of disturbance shall be stabilized when work in the area is complete or
will be delayed for more than two weeks. Areas shall be stabilized by seeding,
mulching,planting or sodding.
4. All onsite vehicles shall be monitored for leaks and receive regular preventative
maintenance to reduce the chance of leakage. Petroleum products shall not be
stored on-site. Vehicles found to be leaking or defective shall be removed from
the site immediately.
5. Materials and equipment necessary for spill cleanup shall be available on-site at
all times. Any spills shall be cleaned immediately upon discovery and
contaminated materials used during cleanup shall be disposed of off-site.
