Planning Board of North Andover; The North Andover Country Club is planning a renovation of the existing pool facility on our property. Plans have been submitted to the Conservation Commission for their review. We would like to request a waiver of the watershed protection district special permit. This project is dealing with an existing structure; it will not expand the footprint of the facility; it will not disturb the existing topography; and it results in an upgrade of the drainage system which ties into the existing town sewer. Remove and dispose of existing pool deck and prep pool for new plumbing. April; 8 to 12 Install new plumbing and run new undergound utilities. April 15 to 19 Install new offset stairway and start hydroblasting pool surface. Ari122 to 26.Complete hydroblasting and start final deck prep. April 29 to May 3 Set up new pool deck May 6 to May 10. Pour new concrete apron. May 13 to 17 Install new pool tile and install new filtration system. May 20 to 24 Clean,prep and piaster pool and truck fill with water. Preventing water that has a high concentration of chlorine and other chemicals from entering Lake Cochichewick is a vital part of Water Source Protection, and certainly makes good environmental sense. The American Water Works Association(AW WA)actually has regulations in place for the de- chlorinization of highly chlorinated water before it can be discharged into the environment. There are many recorded cases of excessive chlorine killing fish and other wildlife species in streams and p9nds. Very truly yours, f Timoth J.
