The application for a Site Plan Special Permit is being made for several reasons.
First, the existing equipment shed is too small for storage of all the greens
keeping machinery. The proposed addition will house several mowers and a
tractor. There will be garage doors at both ends to facilitate access. The floor
will be gravel. The foundation will be a solid poured perimeter style. The walls
& roof will be wood frame with matching asphalt shingles on a shed roof.
The second reason is to install a bathroom in a corner of the existing shed. This
will be used by the maintenance crews and club members who play paddle tennis.
The sewer hook up will be done into our existing pump chamber which feeds into
the street sewer line. Public works has been notified due to the need to cross
Great Pond Road.
The third reason is to install a self contained pesticide and chemical storage
building. This is a custom built, solid metal building which.sits on a gravel grade.
It is designed for this purpose and specifications are available upon request. They
will be submitted with the building permit.
This project will allow the Country Club to comply with our Integrated
Management Plan which has been submitted to Conservation. This project is also
being presented to the Conservation Commission.
