Notice of Modification of Special Permit
At a regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Board of the
Town of North Andover, Massachusetts, duly posted, and held on
December 7, 1993, the North Andover Planning Board voted C
unanimously to grant a modification of the Special Permit, the QJ
Notice of Decision which is dated October 13, 1993 and recorded
with the Essex North Registry of Deeds at Book c� b 3 Page
3(y, issued to Flintlock Inc. for the construction of a single
family dwelling within 100 feet of a wetland, as follows: Zz

Condition 8 stating " [t]he driveway must be constructed out of _
gravel. This decision specifically excludes the right to pave ai;
the driveway" is stricken from the decision. ".
The Planning Board makes this modification upon the condition
that catch basins and oil and grease traps are installed at the
end of driveway.

Dear Mr. Kindred,
The Planning Board met last night to discuss Condition 8 of
the Special Permit granted to Flintlock Inc on October 13 , 1993
for the construction of a single family dwelling within the Non-
Disturbance Zone of the Watershed Protection District.
The Board voted to allow the driveway to be paved as catch
basins and oil and grease traps will be constructed at the end of
the driveway.

Dear Planning Board:
On behalf of William and MaryEllen McDermott, Rimmer Environmental Consulting requests that the
Planning Board consider amending the Special Permit granted for the above referenced property to allow
for the construction of a 583 square foot addition to an existing single family home within the Watershed
Protection District. We request that this request be addressed at your forthcoming meeting on October 15,
2002.
This site received a Watershed Special Permit in 1994,prior to the construction of the original house. At
that time,drywells were installed to accommodate runoff from the roof and driveway areas. Enclosed is
documentation provided by Milestone Engineering addressing the infiltration of the additional impervious
surfaces created by the addition. We believe that by incorporating these changes,there will be no adverse
impact to the water quality of runoff entering the Lake Cochichewick watershed. The addition will not
exceed 25%of the gross floor area of the existing structure, as required under the Special Permit.
