RE: Rolling Ridge Site Modifications
To the Board:
On behalf of our client, New England Conference of the United Methodist Church, we
respectively request a waiver of the Watershed Protection District Special Permit as outlined in
Section 4.136.8 of the Zoning Bylaw.
Interior renovations of the Moses Building shown on the accompanying plan are proposed
along with minor site work. A section of the existing pavement will be resurfaced and striped for
parking. A lift is proposed to transport patrons to the second floor of the building and a sidewalk is
proposed from the parking area adjacent to the Moses Building to the front entrance of the main
facility. The purpose of the lift and sidewalk is to provide accessibility for persons with mobility
impairments. The only additional proposed impervious area within the 100 foot wetland buffer
zone is the sidewalk,which totals 332 square feet. The total area of the sidewalk totals 462 square
feet.
In addition, at the westerly entrance to the site at Great Pond Road, three gravel parking
spaces are proposed approximately 57 feet from the wetlands. These parking spaces are per the
Conservation Restriction Plan for public use.
