HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-12-12 Board of Health Minutes DRAFT Board of Health Meeting December 12, 1990 The meeting was called to order at 7 : 45PM. Those present: John S. Rizza, Chairman, Francis P. MacMillan, Gayton Osgood, Members. Upon a motion by Dr. MacMillan and seconded by Gayton Osgood the minutes of the November 21, 1990 meeting were read and accepted. 1. Royal Crest Estates Gayton updated the Board on the conditions at Royal Crest Estates, including the fact that the State has become involved. The Board decided that no action was required at this time as none has been specifically requested. 2. VFW Food License - Snack Bar Gayton told the Board that the kitchen downstairs was to be used as a snack bar to make sandwiches in order to service bar customers, and that the normal fee was to be adjusted to accommodate the small hours etc. It was decided that Gayton would inspect the kitchen and make recommendations. Also he is going to inspect the Shell Station on Mass Ave. as they are applying for a Limited Retail license to sell coffee and wrapped doughnuts. 3. Bake-N-Joy - Noise Complaints The Board was updated by Gayton as to the status of the Bake-N-Joy noise complaint by Cathy Nolan of Kathleen Drive, Andover, whose property abuts the industrial park. Gayton will follow up on the complaint. No action taken until the follow up is done. 4. Health Sanitarian Position The Board read the resumes received so far for the position. The Planning office secretary will send letters to the candidates thanking them for submitting resumes. The Board will hold the resumes on file until more are received and narrow the candidates down, then interviews will be held at a posted meeting. Upon a suggestion by Dr. Rizza, the Board voted to return to monthly meetings after the New Year. The meeting was adjourned at 8 : 15PM. Respectfully submitted, Clerk, Board of Health
