Hi Bill,Judy /p|anning\ is out of the office and will return nnMonday. | think it would be best to wait until she returns
and discuss this with her. | read the letter from Eggleston Environmental that discusses the infiltration and states that
soil data is needed, but I'm not sure it needs tobe done just yet. I'll discuss ii with Judy on Monday (and the consultant
if necessary) and we can gV from there,

Maybe lmisunderstood but T understood that the Consultant for the ZB/k and the Planning Board has requested
that we provide the soil data.
Honestly I`vou}d expect that the soils are just like the lot next door. Also T just went to the site yesterday and
they have begun vvork,no the lot next door. The soils are exposed and look fair I recall that Christiansen and
Sergi reported Paxton soil with 4to 5 foot water table. Adequate for the roof runoff design.
T would not expect any different on this lot so we could wait until nftccZBA if the consultant is agreeable.

Hi Bill, do you have zoning approval yet for the lot?
Planning also needs to approve the test pits since the lot is in the watershed, so I'll check in with Judy,
but I'm not sure either board will want the test pits being done if there's no zoning approval yet. Is
there an urgent need todo the test pits?

Attached is a PDF of the proposed soil test locations.
This testing is only for the infiltration basins so they only need to be 4-6 ft deep and we
will keep them as small and to the point as possible.
-We-will-be-using the smallest machine(bobcat)size with rubber tracks. We will backfill
immediately and scatter leaf and branch debris over the test location to leave them as
"natural"as possible.
The small machine will leave little to no tread marks and will meander around trees so as
to not disturb mature vegetation. There will be no cutting or removal of vegetation
(except at the actual test hole) .
The tests are 60'+from the IVW and 150'+ from the BVW along the Lake (separated by
the road)
Please let me know if we can proceed with testing (trying for Friday, Saturday or
Monday).
Thanks
Bill

I went by the site again on Aug 8 and the erosion control and swale have not been cleaned. This needs to be
done asap especially while the stone walls are being constructed due the amount of unstabilized materials on
site. There has been not breach of the erosion barriers. It is expected that the walls should be done by midweek
next week at which point the final site work will be done.
I will be away this coming week for a family matter so will be unable to do a site inspection.

Bill,
You should send a set of plans, with the soil test results to Lisa Eggleston. Also, I just left you a message
about the front lawn. There should be no lawn in the front—only a driveway. And the utilities should
be run under the driveway.

response info
Judy,
Attached is a letter explaining our response to each item in the initial review by Eggleston
Environmental
In addition:
1-the Engineers Certification is included within the ZBA supporting info;
2-Final revision of Sheet 1 (8-27) NOTE: Sheets 2 and 3 did not change from (8-12 revision)
3 - Landscape Design plan.
4-Construction sequence found in the NOI documents.
I did no have the Soil report electronically at this time. I will send it later today or in the morning.
You already have the Alternative Plan and the Drainage Constriction Detail Plan (Sheet 2 and 3)
electronically.
i
I do not have the Architect house drawings electronically- maybe the applicant can provide those.
Can you forward these files to the ZBA.
I believe that Mr Dehullu was dropping off paper copies of this info today.
If you have any questions or need additional info let me know.

Judy.
The total impervious area is 4,607 s.f. (house and drive)which is approximately 3.8% of total lot
area. The total site disturbance area is 18.325s.t
Based upon the Boards Comments at the hearing on 9-17-13, we have attached the revised plans as of
9'18-13. showing the following:
Sheet 1: (Revision note and date added)
1 - Revised water stop spacing C20 ft)for the driveway infiltration trenoh, noted and depicted graphically
on plan.
2- Revised limits of front lawn, and location of temporary erosion control barrier, to reduced amount of
lawn as requested 'fobo| lot disturbance
reduced to 1O.325 s.[
Sheet 2: (Revision note and date added)
I - Revised table to reflect total lot disturbance of 16,325 s.f.
Sheet 3: (Revision note and date added)
1 -Revised infiltration trench detail to note proposed water stop spacing.
2 -Revised Stabilized construction entrance detail, to indicate that the stone entrance shall be
"depressed" - lower than roadway pavement to allow it to act as a temp construction sediment basin
(sump). (Con Comm request)
Landscape Site Plan: (Revision note and date added)
1 -Changed specification for"Forsythia" hedge plantings to indicate the use of native species (Northern
Arrowood)as an alternative.
As we noted at the meeting we would agree to change any of the plants called out, based upon the
Conservation Commission's
recommendations, and our landscape plan is subject to approval by the C.C. We provided the list of
annuals, to provide the new homeowner with some latitude in choosing the final plants. Again, if the C.C.
would like to review the owners choices, or if there are species that they would like removed or added to
the list we would be agreeable.
2 - Revised limits of front lawn, and location of temporary erosion control barrier, to reduced amount of
lawn as requested -total lot
disturbance reduced to 16,325 s.f.
3 -Added water stop spacing (20 ft)for the driveway infiltration trench, noted and depicted graphically on
plan.
As we noted at the meeting, in response to concerns of the Conservation .Commission, we did relocate
the house location slightly, to provide an increase int the setback to the onstie, IVW-50' is minimum
required, we now provide 53.5'. Additional setback is difficult to obtain due to the steep grade located
immediately behind the proposed house location. As we extend the IVW setback the house encroaches
further into the steep grades, requiring significant cuts and fills combined with larger retaining walls. In
addition the driveway is lengthened, requiring more impervious area, and ultimately more disturbance
than our proposed design.
will deliver full size and 11x17 copies of these sheets on Monday.
