HomeMy WebLinkAboutCorrespondence - 500 GREAT POND ROAD 10/26/2015 The m M6rin-Cameron October 26, 2015 Planning Board 1600 Osgood Street North Andover, MA 01845 Re: Watershed Special Permit—Tennis Court Reconstruction 500 Great Pond Road Assessors Map 62, Parcel 12 Owner/Applicant: North Andover Country Club Dear Board Members: In accordance with Special Condition 4 of the Watershed Special Permit issued on December 6, 2011, find enclosed an As-Built Site Conditions plan for the above-referenced project. All work has been satisfactorily completed in accordance with the approved plans and the Watershed Special Permit with the following exceptions: • The tennis court area was constructed approximately 4"—6" higher than proposed. This was done to account for a brick edge along the perimeter of the courts. Only the grades within the tennis court area were raised. This should not have any adverse impact to the resource areas around the courts since the infiltration trench was installed within the court area (see below). • The infiltration trench was moved to the inside of the tennis court area.This revision was administratively approved by the Chair and Vice Chair of the Conservation Commission in September 2013. • The gravel access road and gravel parking area were re-surfaced with gravel. It is our understanding that this work was discussed with the Conservation office prior to the work being performed. The as-built gravel parking area is slightly smaller than what previously existed. • One tree was taken down at the rear of the tennis court area; it is our understanding that this work was discussed with the Conservation office prior to the work being performed. • A perimeter drain was installed in the north east corner of the tennis court area. It is our understanding the contractor building the courts installed the drain to intercept runoff that was coming from the hill to the north east. The rate and amount of water coming from this drain should not result in any erosion at the outlet. The deviations above should not have any adverse impacts on the resource areas. The North Andover Conservation Commission has issued a Certificate of Compliance for the project (please find copy attached). At this time we ask that the Board release the performance bond for this project to the owner/applicant North Andover Country Club.
